Fall 2012 Admission Decisions

yea! i wanna do nyu as well but yea the 75 again is too much… i am applying now to john jay i want to stay in the city…

same here. i grew up in nyc, well brooklyn. lived there for 16 years of my life. then i moved to upstate, ny. i like it and hate it here. i want to go back to nyc, particularly manhattan. i might apply for cuny city college, baruch, and hunter. do you think they have housing available?

oh yea! i know hunter does for sure… or you could just find a cheap apt???

it’s hard to find an apt in less than a month. lol. do you have fb?

I got an interview two days ago. Their staff asked me at the end that what I would do if I get rejected. Does that mean they wanna reject me???

they just want to see how you would respond to that question. would you strive harder next time. would you give up etc. what is your current gpa?

yea they asked me that too…lol yea your right about that apt lol what was i thinking!!!

yup i have facebook brandi renfroe!

Kidanimated: My Cumulative GPA is 4.0. SAT= 2080. 1st President of Business Club, PTK Member, and now entrepreneur of a US-China Nonprofit Educational Foundation. Chinese.

But, I am not really confident. They asked me in the interview will I take any extracurriculum in Columbia. I said no, because I will take required courses as much as I can in order to graduate sooner.

Wow great stats… Smh no way im getting in compared to.that! But I’m a ptk member as well…guess that’s a plus

With a GPA like that and being a PTK member as well as being part of a non-profit organization, I am sure you have nothing to worry about. You received a 4.0 GPA in the course of two years at a community college? Did you take extra classes that you didn’t need? That’s amazing. It makes me feel like a total slacker. Lol. Good for you. I’m Cambodian btw.

NYU is awful, and their financial aid is awful. Don’t go there.

But NYU is located at the heart of the city… It sucks the fact that it is not even an ivy league school, and the tuition cost is so high. I’m thinking about applying abroad for grad school now. Schools like Oxford in England and Cambridge, etc.

NYU? SUCKS? AWWW MAN so much for that

Received an email congratulating me on being accepted and information regarding an admissions package, I guess I didn’t receive it because I am currently overseas? Regardless assuming this means I got in, I will be a transfer from NYU.

Nothing wrong with NYU. I enjoyed it, and like Columbia, its expensive.

Wow! Congrats…

NYU being in the heart of the city means that there’s no campus to speak of, no community to speak of, and you don’t really feel part of a university – just people you go to class with. It can be tremendously isolating and lonely.

I see your point!

Do they only email you after you get accepted? or do they do that for rejection too?
