Just wondering if anyone has any idea of what is going on for the fall transfer students. Do we seriously have to wait all the way until June for our admissions decision....? It seems pretty ridiculous.

Also, looking back on old posts it seemed like there was a way to check your application status online, is that gone now?

I was a fall transfer 2011 and I didn’t get my admission letter until July. I’m doing just fine, though. Your first quarter might be a bit hectic, but after that you’re on the same schedule as the other students so it won’t matter anymore.

I don’t know, maybe only some majors have to wait until mid-June (Business 100%)?
I do agree with you that this is ridiculous, given that I will receive decisions from other schools in April…

I think there is no way to check anything until you have your UW ID. I haven’t received mine yet.

I applied with the Business major as my first choice but was admitted as C&A (or w/e the default is) because I hadn’t finished the prerequisites for business. However, I did them over the summer and I successfully entered Foster as a student for the Win 2012 quarter.

Yeah, I think it is ridiculous! Most schools make you send them a decision/deposit by May 1. It just doesn’t seem at all fair for them to make us wait until June 1, especially after we have already basically been forced to make up our minds/pay the big deposits to where we want to attend.

It will be pretty hard to choose UWashington if they send a decision so late, especially considering the fact that I’m very happy with one of my acceptances and if I get accepted to my other top choice it’d be almost impossible to wait it out for them. I’d absolutely love to go there though

I’m a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer.

Good luck to everyone else out there, chances are if I don’t hear back until June I won’t be going even if I’m accepted.

I thought it was fine, but I actually want to be a writer so writing tasks are not difficult for me. I wouldn’t worry too much about it, though. It’s not really something for which you can prep much.

Has anyone received his or her UW ID yet? I want to apply for the scholarships at Foster, but they need my UW ID Will the UW give it to me before I’m admitted? I have written them an email, but it might take a while to get a response…

Nope, I haven’t received any response from UW. I got a confirmation after I sent out my original applicaiton online. I haven’t received even a confirmation whether or not they received my transcripts. I feel like they have big heads there or something… I mean who doesn’t have an online application status check?

I got a response from them today. The instructions about how to set up your UW ID will be sent out in the end of this month. After you get you can probably check the status of your application.

If I have to wait until June, I’ll choose to attend another school whether I get accepted to UW or not. That wait is just ridicilous. I’ve already recieved decisions from 3 other schools that require my deposit by May 1st. UW’s application deadline was before any of those schools…

wow, seatac! that’s particularly early! are you a 2-year transfer or a 4-year transfer? I’m jealous that you heard back so quickly. Did your unofficial load and all of that hooplah before getting your letter?

I’m curious as to what sets you apart from the rest of us to hear back so fast…

The thing is that if you are applying into a competitive major, your admittance into the UW depends on your admittance into the major. You can choose two majors as you know, but if you choose two competitive and you get rejected from both, most likely the UW won’t want you.

Since Business Adm. is competitive, my admission depended on the admission into Foster. It looks like this year the people from Foster have done their jobs really fast and they gave the UW admissions a thumbs up, who in turn mailed me a letter. I got a letter from the UW on Friday and Foster on Monday.

If you chose a competitive major, then most likely your department hasn’t finished yet. If you didn’t, then most likely the UW Admissions is still deciding.

I believed I am accepted! I received information request from financial aid and was able to pull out an unofficial transcript. I was accepted to the school of CEP 1 months ago.

Hey guys, I’m new to this thread. I’ve mostly been focusing on the USC thread waiting on decisions. Other than seatac has anyone else heard anything?

I received my acceptance letter from UW Seattle on 05/21, and like you have been waiting for a response from USC. On Tuesday 5/12 I received a spring grade request (most likely I will be accepted, I have a 4.0 gpa this semester and a cumulative 3.95 with 59 semester hours).
