I apologize if this has been asked and answered already: about how soon after receiving online notification of acceptance is the letter received?

mamae-about a week

Thanks, Vitrac!

Just got acceptance letter—22k a year!!

Wuhandrummer Congrats!! Did it come with your admission letter?

Thanks!!!

yes, it was incorporated into the acceptance letter and there was also a "supplemental material prepared especially for NAME "

ACCEPTED!

3.6/2060 SAT score

How does the admissions decision get delivered???

When did you all send off your materials, and when were they logged? I sent mine off on the EA deadline, but my secondary school report still hasn’t been logged. Any idea when I’ll get my decision?=P

By the way, I have a 3.43 UW (with a downward trend) and a 2000 SAT (760 CR, 580 M, 660 W), 8 APs & 1 honors class before I graduate, decent ECs (NHS, marching band, and leadership & honor society within Boy Scouts), and I wrote a really good “Why Tulane” essay – anyone have a word or two to say as to whether or not they think I’ll get in?

Eli, I completed my part of the app on the 14th and had the documents sent by the 24th or so and my status was marked as complete about a week later. I saw the congrats message 4 days later. But how much time it takes seems to vary quite a bit.

I submitted my app in very early November but still have not heard back…

Huh… I hope there’s not a problem with my school report – after recovering it when it was stolen by a special ed kid (long story) my step-mom opened it instead of sending it (why she’d open something that was sealed and postmarked is beyond me), after I specifically told her NOT to open it. They said it’d be okay to send it in another envelope instead, but now I’m wondering if something didn’t go wrong…

Accepted as of 7 minutes ago!! (into the engineering school I believe because that is what I applied into)

3.52 (UW) /2170 SAT

Congratulations wishuponthemoon! I am going to check again!

Accepted about 2 weeks ago.
U.W: 3.67
W: 3.8 (out of 4)
Act: 27

No Hook

wishuponthemoon - congrats on receiving your acceptance. However, you were not accepted into the engineering school (don’t panic, it’s a good thing!), you were accepted into Newcomb-Tulane College which includes the School of Liberal Arts, the School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, the School of Business, the School of Architecture, and of course the School of Science & Engineering. So there is nothing more for you to do in that regard except make sure you get an advisor that can insure you register for the engineering track courses, since that curriculum is pretty fixed. Are you thinking Chemical, BioMedical, or Engineering Physics?

The great thing about this arrangement is that if you decide after a semester or a year that engineering just isn’t for you, you simply ask for a new advisor in the area to which you think you want to change. That can be business, history, art, anything you want. Also makes double majoring easier too, if you can manage that with the crammed schedule an engineer has. Anyway, just wanted to make sure you were aware of that in case you end up at Tulane.

Just got in at 5:45! Applied Nov 15, complete Nov 16. 30 ACT and 3.76 UW GPA. I wrote a very strong why tulane essay. I guess i have to wait for the financial aid letter in the mail… hoping for the best! Hope to see you all there next fall!
