Fall 2013 ED I Thread

Well, activity in this community is quite slow, and since nobody else posted it (probably cause it's wayyyy too early) I guess I will.

Feel free to post anything, from your grades/stats, how your Thanksgiving break went (just kidding), to how excited/worried you are about applying! Personally, I can't wait for Dec. 15th, can't wait to hear their decision, which hopefully, will be a favorable one!

Also, please do post when you get your acceptance letter, although we'll probably have to wait a few more weeks for that!

Hi there!

I am an ED I applicant as well. Nice to meet you!

My stats are posted, if you search my threads and let me know what you think of it.

I believe the decision date is 12/13.

Hey, 2013kid, nice to meet you too! Saw your stats, they look good to me!
Oh, hmm, I was quite convinced it was the 15th, haha thanks!
What are you planning to major in?

Do you mind stating your stats?
Biology, pre-med. How about you?

Have you visited the campus?

GPA: 3.76
SATs: 1990
Quite a few EC’s and a lot of community service hours.
Hoping to major in Economics, thinking about doing a minor in Film Studies as well!

Sadly, no I haven’t visited the campus, cause I’ve seen pictures and heard it’s gorgeous, but I’m an international applicant and I haven’t had the chance to visit.

Oh yeah, I was also planning to join the soccer team haha, I saw you wanted to join the track team.

Hi!

I applied to Trinity ED 1 as well. They officially come out online the 13th but are mailed the 12th. Good luck to everyone who has applied!

Hey BamBam7, thanks for posting, and good luck to you too!

JuanChazo,

Trinity’s campus is absolutely beautiful. The Chapel alone in itself is magnificent, and the older buildings along Long Walk on campus are quite charming. What you do need to know is that the surrounding area is very poor, and as long as you ignore that, you will indeed be surrounded by beauty. Using Google Maps, you can get a sense of exactly how urbanized the area is surrounding the college:

[Google Maps](http://maps.google.com/)

Unfortunately, Google does not yet have Street View for this neighborhood, which would give you a better idea of the surrounding neighborhoods.

I personally love Trinity and the campus, although it is not in a great location, the college has great security. I have visited a few times and its absolutely beautiful!

Is anyone scared/nervous for the decision?

Hey guys I am an international student and I also applied to Trinity ED1. So nervous/excited for the decision.

btw trinity just updated their website. It says decision Available online Friday, December 14, 2012, after 7:00 p.m. EST.

@morganhil Thank you for the info, I really appreciate it! Ahh can’t wait to see the campus myself!

@Airfan Ah yeah, pretty nervous and excited! Bit less than 2 weeks now? Anyways, good luck and thanks for the heads up!

Good luck to all you guys!

Trinity has a beautiful campus indeed!

Just curious, where is everyone from?

Northern Massachuetts

BamBam, do you mind posting stats as well?
ED acceptance rates are 65 % from previous years.

Hi. I am an international from Pakistan.
I have tons and tons of extra curriculars including some big ones like exchange programs to U.S and Taiwan. I worked really hard on my academics all year round because I knew how much GPA matters. My GPA is 3.99 as of now (no idea where the 0.01 went) and class grade is 2 out of 500 some students.
The problem is the SAT score of 1870. I am repapered buy that wouldn’t count for ED.
I love trinity and as of now that is my choice of course. Getting in would mean so much.
Also I am asking for A LOT of aid.

Where do you guys think I stand? Essay was good I think and my counsellor loves me and I heard she wrote a very long and awesome recommendation.

I live in northern Massachusetts as well

My stats:

Competitive high school
GPA: 3.6/4.1 weighted
SAT: 2010
350+ community service hours, great recs and essay
Also many EC’s

Are you requesting Financial AID?

What a coincidence, which high school?

Seems like a lot of students apply from our area.
