So people I think everyone of you would have submitted your applications by now. I can't wait for the decision. But in the end its just fate, lets see where our fortune takes us.

hey, I also was going to start this thread but thought it’s a bit too early though… anyway, here we are, nothing more we can do, just waiting for the decision (still nearly 3 months to go!). I’m an international as well

Hi piojac, where are you from and what are your stats.

I got 2080 on SAT I, 800 on chemistry, 780 physics and 710 math II. As for ECs, nothing special: president of the class, soccer captain, some work and volunteering. Recommendations should be good (or perhaps great, I dont really know), but I’m afraid I screwed up my common app essay somewhat. I’m also applying for financial aid. And I’m from Poland

have you guys done interviews?
trinity college is one of my top choices and i hope i get in!!

its actually nice to see many international students apply and get into trinity – i was a little worried about the diversity there. ive read some nasty articles about racism in the past and a dominant preppy “white” culture on campus

Speaking of white preppy culture…

hey whiteout13,

No interview and I don’t know if I should be happy or not - would be a good chance to present yourself, but on the other hand the pressure could kill me. How about you, what are your stats?

yeah, diversity will be nice, especially if I get in ! ;P

hi piojac
i am applying from Connecticut, I am asian, and I have a 2060 SAT and a 29 ACT (30 if they superscore). I am in 4 clubs and I am treasurer in one. I have 2-3 awards but they are not national or anything just like schools awards.

Trinity is no longer offering Skype or telephonic interviews for international students.

i just had my interview today. it was by a senior, and she was very nice. some questions were a little hard, and it made the scene a bit awkward. but i’d say overall it went well.

it was also my first time visiting campus

could you tell sth more about your interview? e.g. what were the hard questions like? i doubt i’ll have one from any college but i’m just being curious :D

she asked me a lot about my extracurriculars, like what my role is in them and what we do. also she asked about my school, like what kind of projects i get and my favorite writing assignment and why, etc. she also asked “if i met your favorite teacher at school, what would he/she say about you and why” and then also “if i had to say something to the admissions office about you what would you want me to say?”

have u guys heard from IDOC yet about how to send the rest of the financial aid materials?

actually nevermind i got my IDOC email today

i just received an email this afternoon.

with two early decision rounds, do you think the majority of the incoming class/accepted students are from ED I and II? a bit worried

Lots of schools have 2 ED rounds. I think they usually admit a specific amount of people between the two rounds as to make sure there are a certain amount of spots available in the RD rounds.

Oh my god… lol. I think I’m the dumbest international applicant of Trinity College. My stats are way to low compared to yours. Guess I should get ready so I can apply next year.

Good luck everyone!

@Guille19 don’t underestimate yourself its not only about the scores. Colleges go through all of your application before making a decision. By the way your stats are better than mine.
