Okay, then. I think it's time for a regular decision thread, don't you? I called the GS admissions office today and was told that decisions should be out by 15 July.

My application was (technically) complete in early May, though there were many transcript issues and my third recommender filed her form a bit late. A month and many gray hairs later, it seems that all of my ducks are in a row. It's rather late in the game, so I'm more than a little concerned. On the bright side, I can log into financial aid after not having the ability to do so. When I called about a month ago, I was told that my application was very far along in the review process. No FedEx door tag, no emails (outside of the weird, unnecessary "we have yet to receive Part II of your application and we're changing systems. . ." glitch), no missed calls from blocked numbers, no interview offer. Nada.

I can't decide if I want to wait on pins and needles for two weeks, or just consider it a rejection and move on. Oh, admissions.

Any other regular decisioners out there? Are y'all also still in purgatory, or have your decisions come in?

Your unofficial TOEFL scores have been added to your file, and it was pushed for review. Please allow 4-6 weeks for receipt of your decision by mail.

@lowile interview is required only in some cases and the fact that you can log into your Financial Aid is a good sign.

I’ve been looking through the past forums, and it seems like most RD people got their phone calls in the second week of July. Granted, I’d always thought I’d hear before, since I submitted early and admissions are rolling, but I’m just going with it.

If anything, my rejection will completely debunk the financial aid log-in myth.

@ lowile
yeayy Congrats!!!
I just posted a thread to get some stat. info about applicants, would you mind to share yours ?
Hope to see you in class this Fall :)

@Columbia0830 Five weeks?! I’m sure not. When I spoke with the rep on the telephone, she gave me a two-week frame for the RD pool. I know your TOEFL scores got in late, but from what I understand, they give really conservative estimates for review.

I’ll definitely post something in your statistics thread. I know it’s absurd, but I can never decide how revealing I’d like to be. (“Student at four-year CUNY” v. “Finance major, junior at Baruch with xyz leadership positions”)

sweateraholic : the fee waiver is what you get if you attend their campus tours prior to application. I attended their campus tour, but had already clicked ’ apply’ by then … it’s about $ 70 - $ 80

I got my acceptance packet on July 1st, and got a phone call the next day as well. Let me say that I’m pretty floored that I was accepted. Not that I think I’m not worthy, but compared to so many other impressive people’s stats I’ve seen, I didn’t think I had much of a chance. Well, now that I’m in, I sure plan to do my best and make the most of the opportunity.

I finished on June 1st, but my teacher recommendation didn’t go through until June 12th. I just found out that one of my transcripts wasn’t posted, until now (I called)…I too, am anxiously awaiting my decision.

It’s not that I don’t think I’m worthy, it’s just that compared to many of the other people whose stats I’ve seen, I didn’t think mine were that impressive. But, the admissions rep from GS who called me told me that they were impressed, so that made me feel good. I really can’t wait to start in the fall, even if I will be in debt!
