Hey guys. Could anyone tell me how long to wait to get the result after submitting all the application material? I completed all the stuff at Feb 28th… So I really get lost about my app.

@alanzhu Normally all applicants hear back by early April, but I hope you are aware that the application deadline was Feb 1, right? Submitting after the deadline is almost a guaranteed rejection, especially considering it was a full four weeks past the last day to submit.

Anywhere from 52-55 probably. I have to wait until I get the final word from the transfer credit office.

@Kronomega. Yeah, I did submit all the materials on time 2.1. But they missed my high school transcript and I sent another one and the W showed everything got received on 2.28.

@alanzhu The same thing happened to me! The copy of my high school transcript I’d sent to UM the first time didn’t have an official graduation date on it, and I had no idea until three weeks after the deadline. I’m really hoping it doesn’t hurt my application too badly. Good luck!

School of kines was supposed to release admission decisions today, anyone here from them?

@lakergang

I got a rejection letter last Friday. Good luck man.

@Jk1018

i’m sorry to hear that. hope the best for you if you plan on applying again.

did they email you with the decision? and if you don’t mind me asking what were your stats?

Yea I received by email. My HS GPA was 3.2 and College GPA 3.94. Have bunch EC with leadership position in some of them and also have internship experience in sports agency. The main reason I got rejected is because of not meeting the minimum score for English Proficiency. I’m going to appeal my decision.

I just also received my rejection email. I’m considering appealing as well. I probably got rejected due to lack of credits. Just gotta try again next semester.

I’m sorry to hear that man. I didn’t know School of Kinesiology was tough to get in… I thought it was the easiest school to gain admission… I should have just applied to LSA.

Have you two seen the posts from the dad who said that his son was rejected as an incoming freshman, I think rejected/defered/waitlisted the first time he applied to transfer and finally on his third application was accepted and doing well? I believe he was also a third generation legacy?

Best wishes to you and don’t give up! There are many inspirational stories of those who applied several times and were finally accepted. I hope to read two more stories like that from Lakergang and Jk1018!

I’m sorry to hear guys! How many credits were you guys transferring with?

And, do they update wolverine access with a “view decision” link when you get rejected?

I applied with only 32 credits so I kinda saw the rejection coming, still sucks though.

@Villagemom

I hope to hear the good news next semester or next year! best of luck to all those still waiting on a reply and best of luck to those who got admitted!

Okay I am a bit confused here. Were we supposed to send all the documents by the deadline too or could we send the documents later? I sent the documents on time but they were updated on wolverineaccess really late so I am a bit worried.

@VillageMom: I have been reading your posts on this forum for quite a time so I gotta say congrats on your son’s admission and thanks for helping out everyone here!

@mSaad from what I know all of your documents should have been received by UMich by Febuary 1st. I called admissions and even though my documents were recieved on Jan 30th they marked my application complete on the 9th but the guy said it probably won’t make a difference and they would still review my application. At this point, mid March, I am definitely starting to lose hope though. I feel like they have already given out most of their spots and this part of the month is reserved for mainly rejections :(

oh well, had to try

@jk1018 can I ask you the TOEFL score? I also submit the TOEFL, but what’s the min score?

Sorry to hear that, but @jk1018 could you tell us your TOEFL score? I got only 20 in Speaking (104 in total) so I’m really worried, though I called the admission office and they said that would be fine

@dorapeng It’s 23 for R and L, and 21 for W and S.

@hopeforthebest94 you got a really good grade in TOEFL!

I meet 23 for R and L, 21 for W and S, but I only have 99…
