<p>Hey. The thing is Umich prefers Junior applicants. 96% of freshman stay after 1st year, so it’s hard to get in as a soph. transfer. If I tried as a soph, I probably would’ve been rejected too. Try again next semester or next year. Also, try looking at schools more friendly to sophmore transfers like Vanderbilt or my #1 choice USC.</p>

<p>Do you think having been accepted for Winter '13 transfer would help my chances? I was unable to take my place there for this semester due to financial complications but re-applied for Spring term after explaining the situation to them.</p>

<p>Hey PKD, I’m most likely going to pursue the “Mathematical Economics” concentration in conjunction with the standard Economics course in LSA. Will also minor in Chinese(one of my goals is to become bilingually proficient).</p>
