Congrats to both of you! Trumboma, are you a soph or jr. transfer? When did Michigan have all your material?

Congratulations to the newly accepted!! How are you finding out… email, snail mail or Wolverine Access?

We’re still waiting. Got all documents in at the end of January. Son is applying to transfer as an incoming Junior in the CoE. He has 70 credits and a 3.9 in math/science at our local community college.

He’s calm about the process. I’m losing my mental health.

@villagemom I found out via wolverine access last night, but received an email this morning. Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations to those who were accepted!
Hope I will at least hear something in March :[

Just got the email today, I’m in for Math/Econ. Will likely double major in Engineering Physics, but GO BLUE~!!

Congratulations to the recently accepted!! It’s good to hear I’m not the only one that hasn’t received a decision yet.

@Mistasuggs Congratulations! When did you complete your application?

I completed it on the 21st of January. Though in actuality my materials arrived much earlier than that, it was only after I pestered the admissions lady to send a request to confirm the presence all my materials that they were finally accounted for. With a school as large as Michigan, I highly suggest bugging the admissions office until everything is good to go.

Hey you guys! I’m also applying for transfer into Fall 2013 term. Chance me, anyone?

Current University: Basically one of the best IT universities in Malaysia.
HS GPA: 2.6/4.0 (I put too much weight on my own abilities, let’s just say).
College GPA: 3.6.
Credits: 30 (15 done, 15 to be completed by May).
EC’s:
- Summer internship with an Apple Official Licensee. Basically, they make iOS, Android, Windows Phone as well as Web applications. And they’ve made a big name for themselves in Malaysia in their short history. I worked as an intern, learning automated testing mainly, but I did a lot of work with artificial intelligence (my favorite specialization in Computer Science) and also augmented reality. It was amazing, to say the least.
- CS4Qatar Computer Science Workshop at Carnegie Mellon University Qatar. I represented my high school as a participant and learnt a lot of cool stuff especially pertaining to robotics, programming and a lot of other stuff.
- CMUQ High School Programming Competition - 5th Place with my team. One of 3 teams from my high school, and we made up 3 of the top 5 spots, against schools all over the state of Qatar.
- Was part of my high school’s robotics team which won the National Robotics Olympiad, and was supposed to go on to the world final in California, but couldn’t because I moved back to Malaysia.
- Was the only person who enrolled in the IB Computer Science HL course, even though I didn’t take the first year of IB Computer Science HL (my AP Computer Science A in junior year is equivalent to only the first year of IB Computer Science SL), I tried to persevere, despite being a few months late on the HL Dossier and also the course materials from the first year of HL, still managed to pull a 4 out of 7. And my teacher couldn’t really teach me; he was my academic supervisor/advisor for the class.
- Represented my school for JV Track and Field, winning a total of 4 medals, 2 gold and 1 bronze, 1 silver. Was given the Coach’s Choice Award in sophomore year for dedication and consistency.

I know the last one of my EC’s don’t really pertain to my major, but I thought I might as well put it in there. What do you guys think?

Also, I have a question. My university doesn’t release our first semester’s results until February 8th, and I know that we could put a cover letter explaining certain circumstances as to why my application materials would be late. But, would it count as late if I sent in everything before February 1st, except for my college transcript?

Thank you so much for your help, in advance! I hope to see you guys in the coming fall

@Mistasuggs Yea My HS transcript never appeared on Wolverine, and when I emailed them they always said I would see a change on Wolverine soon Then I directly called the office at the end of Feb and they said they got everything. It seems that I still need to wait for a long time :[

Does it matter which major we are applying to?

@hopeforthebest94 I’m not entirely sure if the major matters. I believe it’s only the school that matters. Where else are you guys applying to?

Is there anyone who applied to School of Kinesiology and got their decision?

I applied to the School of Kinesiology but I’m still waiting on a reply.

Applied to the School of Ed., still waiting. However I am not expecting to get accepted. I think the Lions probably have a better chance of winning a Super Bowl than I do of getting in. I figured what the heck though lets give it a chance.

Hey lakergang, which major did you apply to? Is it possible to what is stats are?
The School of Kinesiology rep said the result will be out until mid March, so it soon to be out.

I applied to athletic trainer and a secondary as sports management, but thats just for backup.
My stats are alright.
Out of State
3.7 high school gpa, tons of E.C. I was also part of Athletic training program in high school.
college gpa is 3.8 but I only have 32 credits. I’m also part of the athletic training program at my current university.
I’m pretty sure I wont get in but theres no harm in trying!

Yeah the anticipation is killing me!

I applied to the Actuarial & Financial Mathematics major, LSA.

Received rejection. LSA freshman transfer. Will try again!
Good luck to the rest of you!

I’m sorry, Altskier. Remember, it seems UM prefers transfers into the junior year so keep on working hard and try again, if you want to. Best of luck in all your studies!
