Fratrut,

If you are commuting to Rutgers by car then you will need a commuter parking permit. Since most of your classes are in livingston, I suggest that you purchase a parking permit for livingston campus(yellow lot).

You will see what I meant when you start going to classes and having to drive home back and forth 4 days a week. It will be exhausting and you could have used the time to study instead.

good luck.

Did anyone get any decisions yet?

Finished semester with 3.191 GPA at Rutgers Newark. Will SAS accept me?

I applied as a community college transfer to RBS-Newark and RBS - NB, however RBS-NB came up as closed to applications 1-2 days after my application was sent. Do you think this means my application won’t be considered, or did I get in before closing?

giantsfan92: I think that as long as you have a 3.1+, you’ll get in. It says so on their website.
hotchihuahua: When did you apply?

Last week. My husband just took a job in north Jersey, before last week going to school up there wasn’t an option. All of my stuff is on file because I had already applied to Rutgers-Camden, but the admissions office altered it to apply to RBS-NB on Thursday.

Wow. That’s great. I thought the deadline for RBS-NB had passed already, or else I would have applied. Honestly, you have to wait it out, or contact their office to see what’s up.

[Rutgers Admissions | To What Schools at Rutgers can I Apply Now? Mobile](http://admissions.rutgers.edu/mWhereToApply.aspx) This chart lists all of the schools and whether they are still accepting applications. I think the deadline is soft.

soccerguy,

When you were first admitted to rutgers, did you go to the summer orientation? Is it required for everyone to go?

Fratrut,

I only attended the one where you are “required” to go so that you can register for your classes. I believe there were other orientations as well but I never went.

Ok smileasec:

I submitted my grades to Rutgers-Newark and New Brunswick. I have a 3.54 GPA with 31 credits. I did get a C+ this semester but I managed to pull out A’s in all my other classes. I don’t know how long they take to make the decision.

soccerguy,

Hope i’m not boring you with too many questions but I heard transfer students are required to this course called ‘Students In Transition’. Does that only apply to SAS students or to business school students as well?

fratrut,

I believe only SAS students are required to do that. But if you do have to take it, you just need to show up(P/F class).

I got accepted to SAS :)

Congrats giantsfan92! I’m still waiting, my semester GPA was a 3.5, my gpa is still a 3.3 something close to a 3.4, so I hope I hear something back soon!

Giantsfan92

Congrats!!! I’m so anxious to hear my decision now! What time of the day did you get your decision?

Smileasec

I hope you get in you deserve it! I’m still waiting for my decision too!

I got my decision yesterday may 22nd, the email came at 5:21 pm. I got home and checked to see that I was admitted.

Hi! I just wanted to say congrats to everyone who got accepted already, and also wanted to post my stats and see what you guys think my chances of acceptance are.

I am currently at Rutgers New Brunswick in SAS and applied as a school to school transfer for the business school in NB.

As a senior in HS, I was accepted in Rutgers SAS (with a 10k/year scholarship), Engineering (which I knew I would never do well in, hence why I didn’t take the spot), and Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy (couldn’t afford pharmacy because of out of state tuition). So I took SAS because of the scholarship.

I just finished my freshman year. First semester was rough for me, but this semester I had a 3.8 and currently have a 3.4 GPA overall, including an A in microeconomics, B+ in expository writing, and a B in Intro to Stat for Business, which are some of the pre req classes that are required for the business school.

Do you guys think I’ll be accepted for sophomore year? The deadline to hear back is June 1st, and I’m (very) anxiously waiting for a response!

I think you have a good chance of getting in! I too hope to apply to transfer to RBS NB, but since I missed the deadline I will wait for next year! Keep us updated though!
