@ebs1995 ugh! I feel you! I am afraid to see my letter now… ugh! But good luck! I am sure that you will get in this next time!!!

@bini0625 I’m sure you’ll get your letter tomorrow since there’s no mail today. Let me know good or bad - will you reapply for spring?

@ebs1995 I will let you know for sure! and yes, I will be reapplying for this upcommming spring! will you be applying for the same major?

Sorry to hear the news @ebs1995. I only wish you luck for the spring! You can only improve on your application!

@Rollieee @bini0625 Good luck! I’m surprised that they wouldn’t tell you over the phone. I guess it depends on the representative. Let’s hope the wait is worth it!

I hope to see you all on campus, even if we have to wait a bit!

@bini0625 Yes I am b/c it’s what I’m most interested in (which sucks b/c it’s one of the most competitive majors)

@ebs1995 I didn’t get in either…ugh

@bini0625 I’m so sorry to hear that. What sucks the most is having to write another equally amazing essay

I wonder if they accepted anyone from the wait list?

I kinda knew that I didn’t get in when I called the school last week but I did not want to say it before I officially confirmed. Today I received the mail and I didn’t make it.

@Rollieee I’m so sorry. I know the feeling all too well. FMM?

@ebs1995 yes FMM :(

@Rollieee Are you reapplying for spring or just choosing another school altogether?

@ebs1995 FIT is the only school that I applied so I’m gonna reapply for spring. what about you? are you reapplying for spring?

@Rollieee Yes I’m gonna do a gap semester since I feel the same way

You guys should definitely reapply for spring and try other schools for FMM. I know Berkley and LIM offer well-known merchandising programs in Manhattan. I don’t know much about Berkley, but LIM is private and is solely based on the business of fashion. There is also a required internship for senior year so you’ll graduate with a resume. Has a decent reputation, it’s a second option for students who want to pursue fashion. The only downside is that their tuition is about $23,000/annually, but they do offer partial scholarships. It’s an easy school to get into. I think they look for a 2.5 GPA and a 800 combined SAT. Essay is required, like FIT you can use it to tell admissions about yourself and talk about your goals. If I could remember correctly, you can write about anything so the choice is up to you! Good luck all!

I’m gonna apply to FIT and Parsons. I visited LIM and I did not like the vibe.

@ebs1995 i was thinking about Parsons also but the tuition is just so much. But Do they offer a marketing/ business major for spring smester?

I know they have fashion marketing

Oh yes, forgot about Parsons. A friend from high school is attending for fashion marketing. I think she plans to pursue a bachelors, and then for an MBA in the same field. For some reason I think she had to submit a portfolio for that program. The admissions process, from what she told me was different than FIT.
