I just hope I get accepted to UCSD with a 3.5 GPA, if that does not happen, either CS SLO, or San Jose State…and probably SJ since San Luis Obispo is a nowhere town lol

UC Irvine - CS with 3.57
Hope I can get accepted to Davis though,

ocnative - which is better for CS major UCSD/UCD?
Thanks!

UC San Diego, hands down.

@ocnative

Would you chance me ?? That would be very helpful

I have a quick question.

On the UCSB TAG it states:

Earn an overall minimum 3.20 GPA in all UC-transferable courses by the end of fall 2013

Right now the way I’m doing my FALL 2013 GPA is most likely going to come out as a 3.1875

Is the requirement talking about OVERALL GPA up to this point??

Or just our Fall 2013 overall GPA?

Because right now my Overall GPA up to this point is a 3.55 GPA

Earn an overall minimum 3.20 GPA in all UC-transferable courses by the end of fall 2013

ALL UC-TRANSFERABLE COURSES. Doesn’t say Fall 2013 GPA anywhere.

I was confused about the same thing. It does say Maintain an overall minimum 3.4 GPA in all UC-transferable course work by the end of fall
2013 and maintain a minimum overall 3.4 GPA through the end of spring 2014;
I’m calling tomm just to make sure but I’m pretty sure its OVERALL. Not just your semester gpa

It is overall GPA. from when you started to the end of fall 2013 has to be whatever the TAG GPA is.

so yeah that message was meaningless

I just think TAG means we can write a really ****ty personal statement. Even then, they might find some reason to reject us for that.

UCSC TAG will post November 15.

TAG: UCSD
Major: Computer Science
GPA: 3.45

(UCSD TAG says 3.5 by the end of Fall, so I’m making sure I get the grades this semester to get/surpass 3.5)

And apparently most of the UCs that do the TAG, don’t even focus much on the personal statements, excluding UC Irvine, apparently they do look at them.

TAG: UCSC
Major: Economics
GPA: 3.97

Agreed. I wrote them in one sitting with some minor adjustments, but once No 15 rolls around and I see if my TAG was accepted, then I won’t be spending another minute on them.

Hey guys, my TAG for UCSC just got approved and as I was reading through the agreement it says: “Your approved TAG includes a guarantee of your proposed major, provided all courses listed as in-progress
and planned are completed as indicated on your TAG application. Changes to your course schedule will
void your TAG agreement.”

I have a health class planned for spring 2014 just to keep full time. It isn’t relative to my major and it doesn’t affect my general ed or igetc. There’s another health class available which is 208 and i planned 210 on my TAG. Will this void my tag?

Husband is going for UCD. I’m so anxious!

TAG: UCD
Major: Civil Engineering
GPA: 3.5-something

TAG:UCSC
Major:History
GPA: 3.83

Really dont want to go here. Its last resort backul to other UCs. im actually thinking of not applying here anymore because mine n spouses jobs dont transfer here. :/

So, it’s tomorrow for Davis?

TAG: UCSC
Major: Sociology
GPA: 3.10

TAG: UCD
Major: Psychology
GPA: 3.82

It’s been a long wait. I’m so nervous for tomorrow! Best of luck to everyone.
