@randombookie I just submitted it mid-week, like @Juvenis said it isn’t a big deal, they can even start reviewing your application without it. Just need it before they make a final decision

@randombookie Before March 1st, I submitted the four midterm grades that were available. Then, I followed up by sending my art history grade after getting my first test back in that class (two weeks ago or so). Like everyone’s said, I wouldn’t sweat it too much. Just get the report sent whenever you can, sooner than later.

for the pfas (financial aid), the deadline says April 15th 2014. It is BY or ON April 15?

sorry for the excessive tagging, I just really need an answer. thanks!

I’m starting to think that UPenn’s transfer acceptance rate is pushed down by the competitiveness of Wharton…would you guys agree?

^ All of Penn is competitive. For freshman admit rates, it’s long been understood that the overall rate is close to the rate for the College, with Wharton being a bit lower, and SEAS and Nursing being a bit higher. So, for example, this year’s 10% overall acceptance rate is probably close to the College’s rate, while it’s a bit lower for Wharton and a bit higher for SEAS and Nursing. And with the significant lowering of the overall acceptance rate over the last several years, I suspect that the acceptance rate for each individual school has gotten closer to those of the other schools at Penn. And there’s no reason to think that the transfer acceptance rates follow a different pattern than the freshman rates (i.e., the overall transfer acceptance rate is similar to the transfer acceptance rate for the College, with Wharton’s being a bit lower and SEAS’ and Nursing’s being a bit higher).

@randombookie I think its most likely fine if you submit it on April 15th, or even for that matter afterwards. They’re not going to deny you aid if you need it, its just a matter of receiving your financial aid package when you (hopefully!!!) get your acceptance.

@MDog795 It may be a bit lower (~25 acceptances out of, for simplicity’s sake, 1/4th of the applicant pool of 2000 would be 5% acceptance rate) but for the most part I agree with @“45 Percenter”

Did you all apply to any other schools?

Thanks for the answers. Does anyone know what Wharton’s acceptance rate is for transfers? Just curious, as the Wharton applicants in this thread are pretty impressive.

@william95, thanks!

The applicant homepage was updated today, and it says that transfer decisions will be released on May 5 at 3 PM EST. Best of luck to everyone!!

:-SS

yay!!!

@fncrane I was just wondering where does it say that? Is the “applicant homepage” the same as the applicant portal? I just checked my portal and it doesn’t say that anywhere. Thanks in advance!

Thanks!

Is the acceptance rate (vastly) different for junior transfers? I applied to transfer last year as a sophomore and was accepted, but ultimately didn’t enroll because I wasn’t openly gay to my parents and they didn’t understand why I wanted to leave my current school, Williams.
