^ Did you explain that in your latest application? It seems to me that that would be quite persuasive in explaining why you declined the offer last year. And if your subsequent grades at Williams have been excellent, you should remain a strong applicant. But I don’t work in the Penn Admissions Office, so take that for what it’s worth. ;)

Yeah I explained it in my app, so we’ll see - I hope they realize my transfer is not because of an academic trade-up but for a social/fit issue. Also, my GPA when I got in last year was a measly 3.54, now it’s 3.67, but we’ll see…my high school stats are good too, but I’m still nervous.

^ I’m fairly confident that the folks in Penn’s Admissions Office realize that a transfer from Williams would not be an academic trade-up. :)

Just a thought - does anyone else wonder if they’re releasing decisions a bit earlier than usual because there was a smaller applicant pool this year?

something came up and I might need to send an update to penn.
how would I do that? Would i just email eapps@admissions.upenn.edu?

Yup

@ZaZa94 which school in penn did you apply to?

@deliquente I applied to the College of Arts & Sciences, why do you ask?

& @wantwharton I would suggest calling the admissions office and telling them directly - they should refer you to the person who’ll be reading your app so that the update lands in your file without a lag time (that’s what I did)

also @45 percenter I really appreciate the sass hahaha

@ZaZa94 I called and they told me to send it to records@admissions.upenn.edu. Is that where they told you to send your update too, or did they have you send it directly to someone in the admissions office?

@wantwharton I guess just “records” email will be fine. I sent my documents there."
Well, guys, you are all goddamn tough. So am I:)
Goodluck everyone with your letters on May 5! Hope to see you on campus this fall!:)

@wantwharton I explain my whole coming out situation and why I didn’t enroll last year, so that might’ve been a weird circumstance. The correspondent in the office gave me the specific email of the person who was responsible for handling transfer apps for the NYC region and I emailed her. I’m sure records is appropriate as well, I doubt the admissions office would lead you astray.

@ZaZa94 I’m a junior transfer too, but to Wharton

Thanks everyone!

@delinquente I was gonna apply for Wharton, but I couldn’t fulfill any of the requirements here whatever it’s fine lol I just want to get out of this place

Penn CAS is nothing to sneeze at (not that you were )–lots of top-10 and top-20 liberal arts departments, fantastic programs and facilities, and students comparable to those at Williams. And, of course, CAS students can take Wharton courses. :)

Hahah you don’t have to sell the school to me, I’ll enroll if I get in again hahaha

still over 2 weeks left…yet so nervous. I don’t know how I am going to get through the next 2 weeks…

@wantwharton you go to Harvard…don’t you, like, have work to do or do they just give you those As?

@ZaZa94 I overloaded with one class this semester just to satisfy the intermediate econ requirement lol
I’d consider myself lucky if I get in (~5 for juniors) but it’d be a dilemma if I also get into Stanford

I’m gonna get back most results right before final haha
