am i the only one still convinced that our estimates of when we will be accepted still stands at mid to late April? not discrediting anyone that has called UT or anything but i will be very surprised if summer applicants don’t hear back by the 18th and fall applicants don’t hear back by the 28th. with UT i feel like going off past trends almost always works. in any event, we all check mystatus everyday so i guess we will see hah

When will spring transcripts be due? Texas A&M set the “hard deadline” of spring transcripts as June 1st. The last day of my Community College is June 6th!

Most threads show that the transfer applicants knew by mid April. My guess is we will hear around Easter.

I emailed admissions a couple of weeks ago regarding when summer transfers would hear back and I was told UT usually sends out decision 6-8 weeks after the deadline. Not that I’m counting or anything, but this Sunday marks 6 weeks…

I am an older student and utilized academic fresh start. To make this short, UT sent the paperwork later in the process so I was worried my GPA would not be recalculated in time for a decision. This was 03/27 and she said the earliest decisions are GOING OUT a few weeks from that date and I should in no way be impacted.

I already have decisions from TAMU and UH but this is the one I want and it of course UT is taking the longest because it is the one everyone wants.

@mandler I hope you are right about some decisions going out this month - the end of May seems too far!

The due date for my housing contrast is on Thursday, I guess I would take the risk and sign the contract instead of waiting for the acceptance to come.

Just got off the phone with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and talked to a different person than I talked to last time. I was told that decisions should be rolling out in the next couple of weeks, so it looks like the posters’ estimates before me are correct. I apologize for spreading misinformation about decisions coming out mid-late May! Good luck everybody; may the force be with you.

I’m a current CAP student, but here are my stats! I’m applying to COE, which is not one of the guaranteed colleges.

UTSA
Current GPA is a 3.75… Hopefully it’ll go up to close to a 3.8 after this semester!
Applied to COE
Kinesiology/Exercise Science, hopefully I’ll be able to double major in Nutrition also
Tons of extracurriculars from HS, currently only part of the UTSA Triathlon club… I didn’t really join any other groups because I didn’t think it would be worth it since I was only planning on staying a year. I spend my time training and I work about 15 hours a week.
I currently only have one letter of rec from one of my managers at work, as I didn’t reuse any from high school, I’m thinking of asking one of my professors for one!

Ur in I think^

Has anyone got anything yet? Any news, any other indications on app status besides in-review?

Checked today…still in review. It’s gonna be a long April!

yep- still in review too…

I’ll join in on the stats party for the sake of my sanity!
I’m applying for summer transfer to the school of education (ec-12 sped). I’m currently enrolled at TxState (65 hrs). With dual credit, I have a 3.87 but I’ve maintained a 4.0 at TState.
I had several ECs from high school with a couple of leadership positions. Throughout college I’ve been heavily involved with younglife/wyldlife and I put 15 hours a week into that.
I think my essays are pretty good, the SoP is definitely higher quality than the other.
I don’t have any letters of rec which makes me SUPER nervous.

Education applicants: were we required to apply for PDS if we won’t be entering the sequence for another year? If so, I’m screwed.

@Hanaforren No you only apply for PDS if you get accepted and even then, you don’t have to apply right away!

when i applied for freshman admission I got a decision on a saturday, i think that is when we will get ours. near the end of a week. just guessing here though.

As a little bit of a side note, where are you guys planning on living in Austin?
On campus/Off campus?

If you take a class and the class only says for example Eco 3hrs as the transfer requirement, do you still get credit for it?

I plan on living in 21 Rio or 21 Pearl, but if things don’t work out then Riverside area

I am pretty confused about living on campus. I definitely want to live on campus, but I have yet to fill out a housing application and I am pretty sure it is too late to get a decent dorm. Beyond that, I don’t know what the best alternative would be. I see student apartments but it is a bit overwhelming to understand the whole process. Even this post might seem confusing since I’m just spitting out things in my head but what is the best living situation for transfer students?
