Im waiting for the financial aid, hopefully Ill get enough to go /:

Also… does anyone know how to deal with this vaccination record???

Still waiting…3.75 CNS for Public Health/Nutrition…

Guys I changed my major to Nutrition and this is what it says:

“We received your major-change request and will consider it if space opens up in the major you’ve requested. An update about your request will appear here once it’s made. Your current requested majors are Nutrition, Entry-Level and Liberal Arts, undeclared.”

Does this mean that Nutrition is already full? Or did my request get rejected? Help. :(

I just got accepted to Cockrell for Electrical Engineering PRAISE JEEBUS!

3.6gpa, all science and math completed up to calc 3, physics 2, and ochem 2 (premed). 59 +15 hours completed. No letters of recommendations. No extracurriculars or leadership experience besides helping my mom teach math to middle schoolers. I did write original essays though.

@cthomase What exactly does it say? Did you apply with less than 30 credits but have additional credit you are taking this semester? Sometimes they will accept you on the condition that you are in process of finishing those credits currently and that your GPA will not drop significantly once those credits come through.

It says “Your application is in review.” At first(back in Feb and before all of my transcripts were received) they said I needed to submit this semesters transcripts but they’ve since changed it. I called about a month ago and they said I had enough credit to transfer and would find out “sometime in April.”

I didn’t have any letters of recommendation but have tons of extracurriculars/awards, etc. Anyone wanna chance me? GPA 3.75(from a private school, if that matters). 40+ credit hours, COLA-Government, lots of extracurriculars/awards, decent essays.

@cthomase Oops! Sorry, I meant to reply to @Golfing! But with a 3.75 applying to COLA, I think you’ll get in. That’s a really strong GPA for COLA and I think the extra stuff (like letters of rec) are more so for people that need to boost their applications in other ways than GPA.

@carissadean the exact wording is “You’ve been admitted to The University of Texas at Austin.
You’ve been accepted for admission to the Ancient History and Classical Civilization major in the College of Liberal Arts beginning in Fall 2014. Find out more about your admission.”

Yes, I’ll have the 30 at the end of this semester, however I’ll admit this semester has been much much tougher than last. Do they rescind admissions a lot? I’m worried now haha.

Status: Admitted!!!
Cockrell: Electrical and Computer Engineering
3.67 Cumulative, 3.91 Math/Science
2 Letters of Rec, one from calculus professor and one from physics professor.
Math and Science tutor at Local CC
Military Vet
Non-resident of Texas
(Status changed around noon, eastern time)

@Golfing7861 Then it seems you were admitted - congratulations!!! From what I understand, rescinding is for really extreme GPA jumps - like if you went from a 3.6 to a 2.5 or something. I think if you basically tried this semester and didn’t flunk out, you are safe. Call the admissions office for specifics if you are worried. I’m sure they have criteria that they can quote you.
