Fall 2014 Transfer

I wouldn’t be worried! They probably made the decision so fast because they had all of your required materials on file. I’m sure they’re still receiving a lot of documents from other applicants. I wonder if they’d tell you whether you were accepted or not if you called the admissions office.

no green check here. i’m anxiously awaiting one tho

by the way is it too soon (probably) to get excited about uva sports? anyone watch the UVa game last night? the beginning was a lil scary cause i have UVa winning my whole bracket haha

I’m praying we all get in! I doubt I will cause my stats are good, but not as strong as you guys. I have 3.98 in the honors program of a large state school. My act is a 29. I have great ecs, however my high school gpa was very low (3.45)

“View Decision” means you file is ready to read. We have NOT made decisions about transfers. We only just finished the RD process on Friday.

Is it possible for transfer decisions to be released before May 1st 2014? Are decisions released on a rolling basis or just on May 1st?

oh okay thanks @deanj

@dean J if view decision means your material is ready to read, what about “complete”? Isn’t that ready to read?

fingers crossed for uva! was waitlisted last year

Does anyone know how heavily the transfer prerequisite requirements weigh on their decision? I have only completed/in the process of completing around 4 out of the 7 requirements.

I had a 3.4 last semester because I took some pretty challenging upper level classes and got stuck with some of the worse professors, but I’ve worked really hard (like almost to the burnout point) to get a 3.75 this semester so I’m really hoping I can maintain it! I think the school you go to also gets taken into account. A 4.0 at a community college says a lot, but the work definitely isn’t as challenging as it would be, let’s say at Stanford. So it’s all case by case. My SATS were ~200 and I had a 4.3 high school GPA. Really involved in my business groups and in a charity group.

i am so annoyed! it says decision is available and when i checked it says look back may 1

i got my hopes up that i was going to find out!

It should be available May 1st at 9:00am

Why do you say May 1st at 9am?

anyone an architecture major?

I had a 3.0 GPA at George Washington University first semester.
I sent them 3 recommendations. In the mid-term report, I had all A’s and seems like i’ll be finishing the semester with a 4.0 or 3.94.

What are my chances? (Accepted? Waitlist? Rejected?

Got in! McIntire School of Commerce!
Ah! Will have to decline the offer since I already paid my deposit to UMich.

I got accepted! if you guys are interested:
3.7 HS GPA
3.92 College GPA
1620 super-scored SAT

I got into the college of Arts and sciences but I actually want to be in the curry school of education for kinesiology… does anybody know how to change that? Or do I have to wait until i enroll to officially transfer into it? do you think they would limit transfer into the kinesiology program?

Also for extra info on my stats: I am a white female, in-state from Northern Virginia.

Honestly kinda shocked that I even got in because I got denied from Virginia Tech as a senior in high school and as a transfer…
