Fall 2014 Transfers

Hey everyone! Thought I would start this thread :) I am currently in SAS-NB with a 3.47 GPA and applied for a school to school transfer to RBS-NB. I know it's sort of a long shot with my GPA. I was previously in RBS-Newark, so I have some business classes completed.
Also to help some people out, I had a 3.3 at RBS-Newark, and got into SAS-NB for the Fall 2013 semester!

Currently in community college, 3.66 GPA, computer science, should easily get in, but you never know

What schools did you apply to?

I’m applying to rutgers NB as a transfer as well. My freshman year I went to William Paterson University and achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.4 then over the summer I transferred to my local community college where I’m an NJ star student, PTK member, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.9. I’m trying to get into SAS as a psych major

Cynthia, I am pretty sure you’ll have no trouble getting into SAS-NB! When did you apply? Since I’m doing a school to school transfer within Rutgers I have different dates. I applied February 6th. However, when I was transferring from RBS Newark to SAS NB it took about two months for them to get back to me.

Got accepted on 2/7 to SAS & SEBS. Applied on 1/15 but didn’t have my high school trancript in until 1/21. Transferring from an NJ community college with 37 credits (up to fall 2013) and 3.232 cumulative GPA.

Note: I’m an international student lol

I applied on 12/23 and rutgers got all my credentials on 1/17 I’m hoping to hear something soon  the longer I wait the more nervous I get.
Btw congrats carltan :))

@cynthiaaax333 Thank you! I didn’t expect to get a very quick reply from rutgers (took only 3 weeks) and I think one of the reasons is due to the fact that I’m an international student. Be patient and you’ll hear some good news :)

Congrats carltan! Hopefully I will be seeing you around campus!

I applied as a transfer from a community college. My application and all credentials were in 1/10/14. I will have my associates degree before starting rutgers. I am a science major with 47 credits so far ( currently taking 17 and plan to take 4 more credits in the summer) and my current GPA is 3.73. I just got accepted as of 2/17/14 into SEBS. Hope this gives people an idea of how long they will be waiting for a reply. Seems like about a month, good luck!

I was just accepted to SAS- NB : )! I am so happy. And congrats cctoru : )

Thanks and congrats to you too cynthiaax333

Congrats cynthia and cctoru! I applied at the beginning of this month, so I do not plan to hear back for another month or two. Also, it is a school to school transfer so it is also different. However, I am glad everyone is being accepted!

I was accepted to NB for Math.

My High School GPA is a 3.75.
My GPA from my first year of college at Michigan was a 3.9.
I had all of my application materials in on 2/1.

:^)

I was accepted 2/29 to Rutgers Business school New Brunswick. I also had all my credentials in by Jan 29. My GPA was 3.595 and I went to community college with 42 degree credits and 50 regular credits. Hope this helps anyone.

Accepted 2/19 sorry typo.

Accepted 2/21, SAS, transferring from nj community college with 60 credits. 3.66 GPA, computer science major

oh and my application was processed january 14th

Hello I’m going to be a transfer student this Fall from an out of state community college. I got accepted to the New Brunswick campus to the School of Arts and Sciences. My community college GPA was 3.75 and my High School GPA was 2.783. My credentials were received within days of each others. My HS transcript got there 1/25/14 (was requested on 1/11/2014) and my CC transcript got there 1/27/14 (was requested 1/13/2014). I applied 1/11/14 and got accepted 2/17/14.

I checked my status page every.single.day after I paid the application fee like some sort of fiend for changes… lol

@suzi3starz92 If you don’t mind me asking, how many credits did you earn at the CC?
