Got denied from CSULB. Hoping I can get into Cal Poly! Super nervous about this… Just waiting is going to drive me crazy.

I’m going to get all of the specific major requirements done by the end of this semester, but my school doesn’t have any classes that would fulfill the CSU GE requirements in Written Communication and Oral Communication. Would they reject me immediately based on that? Or do I still have a chance in getting in? Ahahaha. Well nonetheless, good luck to everyone! :slight_smile:

@julben this almost makes me nervous! I’m applying for transfer to the Manufacturing engineering program, and there are so few people that even get in… 17, 17, and 12 for 2012, 2013, and 2014

@julben‌ I know that wasn’t directed at me, but thanks for that little motivational speech. I can’t really afford to go to college and I’ve had problems trying to start at my local cc (I’m a first time freshman but I graduated 2013, just can’t afford it) and that made me feel a bit better. also thanks for posting that link, that was an interesting read :slight_smile: am a tad worried though haha

This hasn’t been updated since 11-2013, but here are the application counts by major. The first link I posted were counting those students that enrolled. This link is counting the students that applied and were admitted. @kittenfarts I assume first time freshman and new transfers is just what it sounds like. Continuing students are existing students that are continuing. But, I don’t know about the rest??

Does anyone still have the status ‘needs documents’? I had to bring in my transcript to admissions on the 30th of Jan because they never got one that was sent by mail on the 8th of Jan. Still showing up on my to do… I’m getting worried

It takes a good while for transcripts to be received and processed. Only thing to do is call i guess

@mestudent1 Yes, we highly recommend calling. It’s always better to have it confirmed than to regret later.

I was never asked for transcripts and I thought that was weird… Sounds like some people had to turn them in, some didn’t?

@Meooow‌ @MissGish‌ I called today and the girl on the phone was pretty rude but she’s probably gotten the same phone call all day so I guess I can’t blame her. She said the transcripts take a month to process so I’ll just have to wait and see.

@danicabrynne‌ It think they might only request them for impacted majors. I’m not completely sure though.
