<p>Hello, I am currently an undergraduate student at a UT satellite school, I will be applying to transfer into UT's college of engineering. Please. Tell me what you think of my chances.</p>

<p>I’d say you have a pretty good chance, just make sure you study hard and actually do make a 4.0 for Spring 2015. You have the required classes to be eligible to transfer to engineering (Cal 1 & 2, Engi. Physics 1 w/ Lab), so the most important thing is that you make good grades in those classes. I’m actually in the same situation as you, except I’m applying to ECE. I was a bit worried that I wouldn’t be able to take Calculus 3 before the end of my freshman year, but I talked to an engineering advisor at UT and she explained that while it would good to have classes above the eligible transfer req.'s, they would look more favorably with someone who took only 1 & 2 and made a 4.0 than someone who took all 3 and made say a 3.6. Additionally, write good essays, start them now so you’ll have time to edit/proof-read, and get a recommendation letter from a professor who knows you have done well in their course.</p>
