Wow, congrats on Harvard, @gyuanyu!! My first choice was Wellesley. I really wanted to go to a women’s college after some things that have happened to me at my junior college :-/
It took about a month to hear back about the waitlist - they notified me two days after the deadline for people to respond to the original round of admission offers… So, as quickly as I could have hoped for, really.
Thanks @papertownpixie I’m actually really hoping for Smith but my application was lodged after the priority deadline hence why I have not heard back yet. Also Williams but I’m not expecting that to happen.
Accepted a few days ago. I had written Amherst off a long time ago so it was a big surprise. I might have to take an extra semester but I think it’s still worth it.
@themetamorphosis Congrats on Middlebury! I applied and got rejected haha
@weezer123 No, I didn’t send a letter, if you’re asking me. But I’ve heard from waitlisted freshmen that they’re recommend to send letters; I don’t know abut transfers though. That’s why I asked. (I called them and they told me I don’t need to send anything else, but I was curious if anyone sent anything.)
Hi guys. I feel very lucky to say that a couple of weeks ago I was taken off the waitlist and offered a spot in the Amherst Class of 2018 and I will be attending there in the fall. Anyone on here planning to attend as well? I’d love to make connections with some of the other transfer students prior to orientation. (Also ignore my ridiculous username. I think I quickly created this sometime in HS haha)
Hi @WickedSmart16 ! I am attending Amherst! I was taken off the wait list last week! I’m still waiting for my financial aid package and so still hasn’t filled out the online acceptance form, but I know I’m definitely attending Amherst! Send me a message and I can give you my email.
