Fall 2015 UC-UC Intercampus Transfers

@chubbyyy @KB24PG16 stats?

@josh2633 well, my GPA was a 3.889 including Fall 2014 grades (This includes summer CCC courses + UCSD courses into the calculation). I had two pre-reqs left, one I took Winter 2015 and one I’m finishing now in Spring 2015. Applied as a Stats major. Accepted to Cal and UCLA. Couple ECs here and there, but I don’t think it was anything amazing.

Have any of you asked for a letter of reciprocity yet? Curious about how the process works

@fncrane Congrats!!! Not to be creepy, but I follow almost all the threads and I saw that you got off the wait list!!

I haven’t gone in officially to request it yet since I’m waiting on this quarter’s grades, but I spoke with them and at my UC, I just have to go to my office of the registrar to request it in person. It should be free of charge. Once you submit it, they review your records to make sure that you have passed all your GEs and then they’ll send it over.

You know, it’s true. The power of an avatar. @Fncrane you were on my radar a long time, too!

@lemanie thank you!!! And thanks for the info! I have to email the registrar about withdrawing from the university anyways so I’ll double check about reciprocity with them.

@lindyk8 shoutout to Niles Crane for that one B-)

Yep.^^^

Congrats from me too @fncrane! Haha

@81Mamba lol thank you!! Which school did you end up picking?!

@fncrane Heading to Cal! Was pretty hard not choosing UCLA tho haha. Hope you enjoy it there! :smiley:

Hey! I’m a current UCSB Freshman, only my first day here and I really want to transfer to UCI because it’s so much closer to home ha. Any advice would be helpful! Also, how long did it take for you guys to begin the transfer process and actually get admitted? 2 years? Hoping to transfer in one year but I don’t know how realistic that is.

I’m currently a first year at ucr but I’m trying to transfer to uci. Do I really have to wait to transfer my junior year or can I try to transfer now for my 2nd year?

Hi! I’m currently an undeclared major at UCI but I was just wondering what classes should I take in order to increase my chances of being accepted to UCLA. I was waitlisted for the Fall 2015 but unfortunately I was not offer a spot. However, I would like to reapply as a transfer student. I’m probably planning to major is Bio or Cognitive Science any advice on what classes to take? Thank You!

***PROSPECTIVE INTERCAMPUS TRANSFERS: if you have any questions not answered here, I am happy to help, but I probably won’t be on this site so much anymore, so please send me a private message as it’s connected to my email and I will get back to you that way. GOOD LUCK! :slight_smile:

Since I keep getting a variation of the same question, I’m going to put this out here: in regards to GE’s: you only need to complete the GE’s at the UC campus you are at right now. If you complete them before you transfer, your school will send a letter of UC Reciprocity saying that you have completed your GE’s and will be exempt from them at your new UC campus. For more specific details, contact the academic advisor at the school you are at now and I guarantee you they will be familiar with UC Reciprocity so you can ask them what courses you need to take.
