@willybilly618851 have u done any art history related internships?

I called UCLA today and they said they wouldn’t be releasing transfer decisions until the last week of April. How sure are you guys that they’re releasing them this Friday?

I’ve called twice thus far and was specially told Friday the first time and “sometime this week or next week” the second time.

Maybe they are purposely giving out inconsistent information because they get so many phone calls asking the same question.

Some people from UCLA were at my college today and they told me this Friday as well and told me to go the STOMP thing. I wonder if they were wrong.

@sammycatt you can minor in cog sci.

@lindyk8 That’s true. I would probably do that if I couldn’t switch my major.

Do you guys think not having the Gender Studies pre-req will seriously hinder my chances? It’s not offered at my CC or any nearby. Do you think they would let me take it the first semester there or is it an automatic denial?

Any of you guys get the Middle Class Scholarship Notification today? What are your thoughts on this scholarship? Heard of anyone else getting it?

@fullload I just got an email for it, too. It doesn’t seem like we have to do anything, right?

Right, thankfully.

I am applicant for Design media art for art and achitecture school, I have called the dma office, she said the result is coming out on April 17 BY 5 PM

yes I got the open house invitation, and I heard it is a likely letter. But do you have more information on this?
Is this really being seen as an inofficial acceptance?

I know this is over rated and d-day is only like a day away but since we’re all procrastinating actually studying anyways anyone want to chance me?

Major: Psychology
Alternate: Gender Studies
GPA: 3.44 (3.77 at time of application, but Fall was my worst semester, got my first two C’s, although they were in classes that weren’t major prep).
TAP: Yes.
IGETC: Yes.
Graduating this year from CC with AA and AA-T.
PreReqs: Psychology- all complete, with two in progress. Gender Studies- My CC does not offer the one prereq.
EC: Working two jobs, Psychology Club.
PS: Probably the strongest part in my application. I talked about my experience living in a all-girls treatment facility for a year for PTSD when I was 16. I also talked about moving out two days after my 18th birthday to work, not going to school for a year, and my experience traveling to Europe and staying in hostels. Further, I talked about the impact these experiences had on my current education and that by the time I did enroll in college I knew what I wanted to do and put my all into it.

Probably you don’t want to hear. But last year, one of my friends who was majoring psychology and TAP certified got “waitlisted” with GPA 3.69 and didn’t get in ultimately.

@Hiroaki0422 Did they list an impacted alternate major? I heard as long as you list a non-impacted major you are typically okay. Hm. /:

@sammycatt My counselor told me that we are not allowed to list an impacted major as our alternate. Then again, I can be wrong.

@slee25 Alternate majors are only for TAP-certified students. Non-TAP certified are not considered for their alternate major, but TAP-certified students are.

@slee25 Oh whoops, I just saw you wrote impacted alternate major. My bad.
