Unsure if this observation means anything, but for what it’s worth, I’m TAP-certified and my major is still up there.
Has anyone else applied for the UCLA alumni scholarship? I applied but have not heard anything yet. Not surprised but could be something relating to admissions.
The anxiety is killing me! Similarly to @apocalypso, I’m also TAP-certified and my major is still up there. Kind of wish it just displayed my alternate… I’m tired of viewing the same admission portal message for 5 months.
" I’m tired of viewing the same admission portal message for 5 months." @ilikewafflez same hahaha I just want to see something already
@ilikewafflez I’m in the same boat. I JUST WANT TO KNOW! I’m still waiting from UCSB, UCSD, and obviously Berkeley but let’s just rip off the band aid
@heatherheather you were able to apply for the UCLA alumni scholarship before being notified of your acceptance? I see that it is available, but…
@award344 there’s no point in applying if you don’t know if you’ve been admitted. It’d be a waste of time if you were rejected.
And @heatherheather why would you hear anything back yet if the deadline hasn’t even passed yet. People are still able to submit applications and can for a while.
@award344 yes I applied a while ago. here is the link! deadline is May 1, so they probably anticipated that most transfers would find out only a few weeks before then. http://alumni.ucla.edu/scholarships/apply/
I have queued up 8 separate university shirts and bumper stickers in my Ebay watch list. Lol.
@heatherheather you still haven’t heard from uCSB? What is your major again? I got accepted in the first batch for Psychology having a 3.3, but I’m not sure if that is just an easier school to get into compared to Davis/UCLA.
I really want to get into Davis badly; UCLA with my GPA and major is a long shot. I’ve actually heard that psychology at Davis is really impossible to get into as well… I’m really hoping not.
@sammycatt. Just curious, if you don’t mind me asking, what was your GPA? I’m just curious to know since you had that special case
@heatherheather as a volunteer reader for Berkeley Alumni Scholarships I can say the process is still going on. I don’t believe any alumni groups let you know until after acceptances. Plus, they have to make sure you get in, right?
@lyonsbot I applied as Math Accounting for UCSB! GPA is 3.79. I haven’t heard of others getting in for that major though.
Congrats on psychology!
I heard that Davis is releasing decisions tomorrow. Good luck
@lindyk8 you’re right! I’m just anxious lol
@sammycatt had a 3.7 at the time of applying, but fall bumped her down to a 3.4, from what she had said on this board a while back. That must mean I don’t have a chance for psychology at ucla. Lol.
@heatherheather 'nuff said.
@NNatanzi No worries! At time of application it was a 3.77, but Fall bumped me down to a 3.44.
@heatherheather thanks! Good luck to you, too!
Has anyone called admissions? Should we all call now and swap info from what we hear?
I doubt they will reveal anything more than what we already know now but it cannot hurt to check @lyonsbot
@sammycatt. I noticed one thing might have been changed on the “myApplication Status” of UCLA is that: the releasing date was saying mid-late April, but now is late April. I could be wrong, because I did not have screenshot the previous one, but I remembered there were words more than just “late April”
I am pointing this out because I am trying to look for any other “sign” in the application status page.
I felt like nothing else but the major change
Could someone see any changes in their applications status page?
