Fall 2015 UCLA transfer students

@HopeInLA - https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/adm_tr/Tr_Prof14_mjr.htm this site says the average gpa admitted last year was 3.76, so you have a good chance. None of us unfortunately are UCLA admissions evaluators, so even the most qualified of students still get rejected.

@Salmanthgr8 No TAP but I have everything done (including 2 semesters of ochem) except my physics series

Sustenance, the CSU I applied to for safety accepted me over a month ago. Are you sure CSULA still hasn’t released decisions?

Are any of you transferring from another UC? And do you think it’s a good or bad thing to be transferring from a UC?

@nicky12345 I’m not transferring from another UC, but I did attend a 4-year school last year. I am in CC now, but I don’t know if it will affect admission. I heard that transferring UC to UC is easier though!

@HopeInLA you’re pretty solid then. The only concern would be the gpa, but molecular bio has a 40% admit rate so you never know

No CSULA is another name for UCLA i applied to Cal State LA. Hoping I get in with all you guys!
@fullload

@nicky12345- My daughter is transferring from UCSC. How about yourself?

Do not degrade UCLA by calling it CSULA [-X

If your major is changed to your alternate on your portal and you’re tap certified, does that mean you were rejected from your original major?

@nicky12345. Im transferring from uc irvine

RT: you guys all need to chill. whether the admissions date is tomorrow or in two weeks you’re either gonna be denied or admitted and at this point it’s 100% out of your control.

sincerely,

Norcal Hipster who is also a UCLA transfer applicant

BUMP

@olivia1093 I think so. That happened to me to
 Mind if I know your stats and major?

I assume you’re kidding, sustenance? CSULA is not another name for UCLA, not by a long-shot. Two completely different schools.

@zeppelinlover @agzaroarz oh cool. I’m transferring from ucsb!

@nicky12345
do tell: if you don’t get into LA, will you stay at SB or did you apply other places to? Are you not happy at SB or are you just taking that one last shot to be a bruin?

@fullload Yeah dude I don’t even know I just wanted to lighten the mood here lol so tense. I didn’t apply anywhere else, I’m all in @ UCLA :DDDD

@Salmanthgr8 comm studies
Gpa: 3.93 with 5 extracurriculars (two in public relations), a lot of volunteer work and awards. My alternate is anthropology BA but I don’t really have an interest in it. I want to change to pre-international development studies but it’s impacted so I don’t know if I can.
