Hmmm. Seems to be hotter today.
I called design media art office. And asked again. When is the decision coming out. She said tmr by 5 pm again. I asked is it only for dma dept? She said no. For the entire school. I asked is that for sure ? She said she believe so
@agzaroarz Sheās probably getting her information from this forum. hahaha.
Was it a student?
@fullload Ha! Yeah. I wouldnāt. /:
Iām in the same boat. I donāt think I can handle a rejection at this point. Iāve already been thinking about what Iād write in my appeal. ;-;
@shapkaa Did you leave out important information in your application?
The thing with appeals is, you need NEW compelling evidence to support why you should be accepted. Unless something dramatically changed, making you a better candidate now, appeals are pretty much useless.
Begging them to reconsider isnāt a valid appeal.
@MaMoi77 no why?
@Sustenance. She is a staff. A official dept officier
@fullload What if you bribe them with candy?
Oh yeah I know that. I have lots of new things Iāve done since I applied, but I gave them everything I had at the time lol : P
@agzaroarz wey hey another transfer from UCI! :-h
I called admissions at 3.55pm today and asked about admissions. She said it will come out by end of April. She sounded like a student.
@fncrane hi. Haha. Im uc irvine art major. And transfering to ucla design media art major. What about you
Those transferring from UCI to UCLA, why are doing so? Just curious.
I know I should be doing things to pass the time but I keep coming back here
@HumbleTeen Lol. f that.
@fullload. because my major in ucla is stronger. Ucla has top 3 art program. . i want learn more in ucla instead of here.
@fullload Long story short, UCLA has always felt like home. Never really felt like I belonged in Irvine.
@shapkaa If you didnāt leave important information out of your application and since your academic planning lists ānew thingsā that you are completing while awaiting admission from the UCs, the school already should know your latest and greatest achievements. Iām curious as to why a thoroughly completed application would seek appeal. You must clearly demonstrate extenuating circumstances that casts a more positive light on your current application stats, not just more good stuff. And in any case, you havenāt even been rejected.
