I would like some possible opinions about how my chances look at getting into transfer from GCC to UVA. Unfortunately, my high school grades were sub par at a mere 2.7. However I did graduate and now I am attending GCC and have completed 40 credits and have a 3.925 GPA. My SAT scores were taken during high school and are below average at 1550. I would have done GAA, if only I had not taken dual enrollment biology 101 and received an F. Which disqualifies me for guaranteed admission. However, since then I have retaken it and gotten an A, as well as in Biology 102 (received an A as well). I am a white female and i qualify for in-state privileges. This current semester I am taking 13 credits. Thanks for any opinions.
I would say you have a pretty strong shot! I know you must be worried about your high school gpa and that one F but it seems like you have turned your academic career around and admissions will not question your ability to do the work. Do you have any EC’s or leadership roles?
Very good shot of being admitted in my opinion.
So, how did it go? I am in a very similar position now, except I got an F in Spanish
