Fall 2015 UVA Transfer Waitlist

“There are 400+ students on the wait list. Currently, 300 have agreed to remain on the wait list.”
“On average over the past few years, (the number of students getting off wl) has been 80-100 students.” (transfer blog)
The chance of getting off wl seems to be 27-30%, which is almost as good as that of being directly admitted. Cheer up guys! All hope hasn’t been lost.

@puncherkid I think it also depends on which school you are applying to. If you are applying to A&S then you have a pretty high chance of being admitted. Commerce and Engineering on the other hand…

When do y’all think she will post the number of wait list spots??

Idk but Goodluck Ya’ll!!!

anyone hearing back yet?

Didn’t Transfermer say that more info about the number of waitlisters and the spots available would be blogged late last week or early this week? I haven’t heard anything

That may be bad news. If we haven’t heard anything then maybe everyone took their offers?

I don’t think so @McIntireguy123 in previous years Transfermer has posted on the blog when those offered should expect offers

@hlplsslyhopn I hope you are right

@McIntireguy123 don’t worry! The comment says “We are still looking at numbers after the weekend. We should have some information to give later this week or early next week. Again, decisions won’t be coming out until we’re safely into June.”

Everyday I just get more and more nervous. Again, good luck to everyone and I hope we can all meet up on UVA’s campus.

So I left a question on the blog! If anyone gets a call, post it on here! I read some where they start calls June 1st…but maybe they need more time to figure things out. They’ll let us know if we don’t get in, right?

Well last year the first wave of emails were sent June 13…

@canucksfangirl they make offers in waves. If you end up not being admitted, you won’t be let know that until the wait list is officially closed; then they’ll send an email

@canucksfangirl Do you know if they will call you on your home phone or cell phone?

@hoospls and @hlplsslyhopn Can you explain “waves”?

They will call (if they call) on the primary phone number you put on your application or what is on SIS. They could also email you your decision.
The “waves” are when they tell a group of people they are accepted and then a few days later after their decisions are in, more people will be notified until all the spots are full.
@McIntireguy123

So if someone on the wait list decides not to attend, will that spot go to someone else?

I don’t think we will hear from them until like the second week of june

yes, hence the “wave” format @canucksfangirl

I think @uvahopeful101 is right. I also think they will only send out decisions on Fridays. That’s what they have done in past years and what they did for regular admission decisions
