Accepted as well! So happy!
I’m in!!!
@KeppGirl12 Congratulations!!!
Hey newly accepted friends, I’m kind of confused as to what do I do next and how - in regard of securing my place for the next semester. They keep directing me to my existing application page, but I can’t seen to find anything that might resemble the acceptance reply form. Any ideas?
I was hoping to find out my decision today but instead found out that I have an interview! Not sure if this is a good or bad sign… Does anyone have experience with interviews?
Mine is right above where my essay shows as submitted on the original application page. Im deferring till spring so that I have enough time to sell my house but Im so excited and happy!
@sashalol20 Most questions are about your academic life and the story that you wrote in the essay. It’s about 30 minutes long, and I remember some questions are about book recommendation, how you think of GS, what is your goal, why are you taking the major, how do you feel about your current school… etc.
There were no tough questions, so don’t worry too much.
Good luck on your interview!
Ah I see! Thanks! Did you get your decision yet?
I’m in!!!
Thank you all for your help and support!
Accepted!!! Wow, I’m in disbelief!!
@sashalol20 You are welcome! I haven’t got my decision yet. I need to send my midterm report this month, and I think I have to play the waiting game until June. I am so good at the game now.
Congrats to those who got in, and best wishes to those who are still waiting!
I was admitted last Friday as a transfer student. Does anyone know if I will have to accept the offer to receive a transfer credit evaluation? Similarly, is it possible that I can have a idea of how my financial aid will be like before I send in my deposit? Did anyone receive a financial aid package? Thank you!
To receive a financial aid package, you need to send deposit and submit the Enrollment Form.
Got in today! Congrats you guys. I’m also wondering how financial aid works – so we have to accept the offer and send a deposit before we know what our aid package will be?
@switcharooney @yesorno0101 Hey guys I just called the admissions office and the lady said that we can actually receive a financial aid package before sending the tuition deposit!
What you gonna do is to fill up FAFSA, New Student Scholarship Application and the Planned Enrollment Form. To fill out the Planned Enrollment From, go to https://studentviewer.finaid.columbia.edu/NetPartnerStudent/Logon.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fNetPartnerStudent and login with your Columbia ID and your birthday. It will ask you how many credits you plan to have for the year. You don’t have to be too precious about it because you haven’t talk to your academic advisor yet. It’s just a plan. After filling it out, call the admissions office and they will get someone who knows financial aid to speak to you so you can have some info earlier.
Also, for those who are transfer students and have questions about the transfer credit evaluation, it will be sent by email. Just give them a week to process it.
I hope these will help. I’m most likely gonna attend. And I am looking forward to seeing you guys in the fall
Interview today! Does anybody have any tips? Thanks in advance.
@ColumbiaHopeful99 I think someone shared their experience some pages ago, it was pretty detailed. And good luck!
