Hey guys! I wanted to start a thread for everyone applying for the Fall 2016 semester as a transfer. This way, we can support each other and help each other out! Here is a little bit about me, or my “stats” as they say:

This is all I can think of right now. I’m currently working on crafting my application and hope to finish it and send it in at the end of next week. You can chance me if you like. I love BU and I’m nervous about my chances.
I’m applying as well and I will post my own stats once I get myself organized within the next few weeks, but dude… Your stats could really not get any better.
I’m currently a freshman at the state university of New York at Binghamton majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
GPA: 3.51/4.00
High school GPA: 96.65 UW out of 100
I got accepted last year to Boston University at the College of Engineering, but because of a mishap of financial aid they weren’t ale to give me any money. I’m going to avoid that mistake again this year. Hopefully they will accept me as a transfer student because I still have a very strong desire to go, and I’m not to happy about where I currently go, although it is supposed to be one of the best state schools in NY.
I’m currently going to SUNY Broome in Binghamton! Don’t feel bad about not liking BU, i’m from this town and can’t blame you. I’ve heard too many stories about people not liking it.
Sorry to hear about financial aid! That really sucks. Good luck this time!
Thanks! I’m really hoping so. And definitely post your stats! I’m hoping to make this into a transfer thread where we can all talk and support each other.
Wow. Honestly I think you’re in dude.
Hey all, I will be applying to transfer Spring 2017, but I thought I would hop in this thread.

Vice President of my university’s Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES)
Student Government
My floor’s Intramural Chair
I’m applying to BU and NEU, so any chancing or advice would be greatly appreaticated! I still have time to do things to strengthen my app.
^ I am a second semester Freshman, will have 34 credits after my first year (took 16, then 18)
You shouldn’t worry. If they’ll accept anyone, You’re a great candidate. DO you know if admissions to the CoE is significantly more selective than other schools? they say the average accepted GPA by a BU student is a 3.5, But I am afraid that an influencing factor is the CAS
I have a 3.61 gpa and i’m applying to CAS. I’m finishing up my 4th semester of community college. I have about 52 credits done. I hope I get in. I submitted my app earlier this week. The wait from now till May is gonna suck.
Hey everyone! I’m applying to Harpur. I’m a sophomore at Liberty University, with a 3.8 over 62 credits. I’m on a scholarship here through my schools honors program, and am involved in weekly community service. Really hoping to get into Bing. I’m also a NY resident.
Being that it’s rolling admission–anyone get any replies?
@UnionBlue , I think you have the wrong school. This thread is on Boston University, not Binghamton.
Is anyone sending ACT/SAT scores? I know that they aren’t required but a lot of schools prefer that you send them anyways.
However, BU’s wording makes it seem like it’s not even an option for transfer students to send their scores.
Oops! My bad, sorry everyone.
@kfellysnena I saw a live stream on BU transfer admissions, and the guy specifically stated that they do not require it, and if you send them they might not look at them. They want to see what you did in college because that is the most accurate depiction on how you are as a college student. If you want, I can send you the link for the stream, its up on their website.
I actually think this approach is refreshing. At least it is for me! lol
@Rockerr83 Oh thanks so much! Definitely refreshing! I feel like so many schools say one thing and mean another lol.
I would love to see that stream if it’s not too much trouble!? Ahhh thank you so much
I’m not sending mine in. It probably depends on how many credits you will transfer with. For example, I will be transferring with around 63 credits after two years at community college, so I don’t see any need to include my high school stuff.
@kfellysnena http://www.bu.edu/admissions/visit-us/virtual-events/
go to the bottom where it says “Past Information Sessions” and click on “transfer applicants”.
When you click on it, it asks you to sign in, so just put it your info and you can watch it
