When did you have to submit an application to receive a decision by then?
@nj1818 March 1
Anyone know when decisions will be posted online? Of course I’m leaving for vacation 2 days after they send them out, so there’s no way I’ll get it until the week after
@Giraffing AU only mails out decision letters via snail mail. They send an email from the Dean or President congratulating you on your acceptance a week or so later. They’ve got an old-fashioned admissions office
@IBer2014 is that what the people in admissions had said? They wont put anything up on the portal?
@mha97 when I spoke with them over the phone, they only said decisions would be mailed March 21. I’ve applied in the past and did not ever receive a decision on the portal. Only the letter and an email a few days after receiving the letter.
Did anyone else receive an email regarding transfer articulation?
Nothing here. In fact, I’ve received barely any emails from AU since I submitted my application. When I noticed this as a senior in highschool, I ended up being wait listed/rejected from schools who didn’t contact me during the admissions process. But, then again, it could have just been a coincidence. Anyway, I would say that is a great sign! Odds are you’ve been accepted if they’re mentioning transferring credits.
Another update: I spoke with admissions and they said that the letters being mailed this week are for freshman. While some transfer acceptances are being sent out, that has no relation to all other applications being sent, and 4-6 weeks is still the rule of thumb.
It was six weeks for me on Monday, so hopefully I’ll hear back by the end of this week.
Yeah I also got an e-mail about transfer articulation and them requiring me to send them the syllabus of a course I took at my previous college. Hope this is a good sign and we hear back soon!
@Charlotte116 when did you apply?
@IBer2014 I applied a little before March 1st and haven’t heard back yet. What about you?
@Charlotte116 February 8. I wondered if there was a correlation in the transfer articulation process; if they review credits early or later on in the admissions process.
Is anyone else annoyed how they said they mailed the letters out March 21, but there is still yet to be anything in the mail?
I think that caller was misinformed. I was told it is still 4-6 weeks from when you submitted your app. Has anyone heard back?
I applied the first week of February though… I’m just going to go out on a limb and say that those who applied before March 1st will hear by April 1st??
I’m coming up on 6 weeks since I applied, and I’ve only gotten an email about confirming my membership to PTK. They said they were holding my application until then, which was 2 weeks ago, so hopefully soon we’ll hear?
I may have been misinformed, but their admissions twitter page (https://twitter.com/AUAdmission/with_replies) also says all remaining undergraduate decisions were mailed out last week. At the very least, everyone who received the March 1 email (verifying the receipt of our application before March 1 deadline) was guaranteed a response by April 1.
@IBer2014 Maybe they were just talking about freshman applications? And where did you hear about this guarantee?
