@Edirol thanks! I’m super relieved too haha
Good morning, everyone! Is everyone’s transcripts received yet? I’m resending one
Morning! Sent fall and they received it. It’s pending cuz I still need to send spring after finals next week.
Why did you have to resend one?
I haven’t resent it yet but I’m going to call admissions (again) today and see if that’s what I should do. It’s been over 30 days since it was sent the first time.
Part of the issue is that it WAS received and had a checkmark next to it…then a week later the checkmark was gone. No idea what’s up with that.
So if we still haven’t received an email from the alumni scholarship, we didn’t get it? I was expecting a rejection email at the very least if so
@grimmghost
Last year’s thread shows that they didn’t get a rejection notice.
I would call them. I have a check mark on one and it is still there. The other one shows pending until spring transcripts are sent. Good luck.
Me too. The email did say they would be rolling out the scholarships til August but someone had put a link up that said notifications are all on the same day so not sure anymore about the rolling out.
@wannabeflower I did not get work-study, only loans (50%) and grants (40%)
Do you have to get work-study in your financial aid package to be involved in a work-study?
Anyone apply for TSP ??? I’m patiently awaiting to hear back from them. I believe they send out notifications early June.
So I called admissions and they told me all my transcripts (3 of them) are in…even though on myucla, I can only see that 2/3 have been received. Hoping this is just some weird glitch/fluke.
On a happy note, I walked around campus today and checked out the library. I’m excited
(Who knew old people could get so excited?!)
I’m in a dilemma. I had ap exams from 2011 and 2010 so I had to order archived ap exams. I sent it around early May. On the site it says it takes about 15 days to process. I called collegeboard (they had quite the damn attitude) and they finally sent it at 5/24. They said it should arrive around 5/26 but my.ucla.edu still doesn’t have the exams checked. I tried calling UCLA undergraduate admissions, but they said they are closed for memorial day. This is really frustrating; the deadline is at 6/1 but if my exams aren’t checked by then, this may become extremely problematic.
@NaniExclamationPoint - as long as it’s postmarked by 6/1, you should be okay. It seems like Myucla takes a long, long time to update anything that’s sent in.
@Edirol count me as older than old, as a Mom of a transfer. I get giddy visiting campus, seeing my old hangouts!
My acceptance letter said that I need to maintain my GPA that I had when I applied, which was a 4.0, but this semester I got a 3.83. Is it even worth emailing them over? Or should I just ignore it?
Guys, did anyone have to prove their residency status? If yes, what kind of papers did you have to present?
csmajortom: I don’t think you have to report such a change in your GPA. Your grade is still high. As long as your GPA this semester is above 3.0 and you did not get any C, D… or Withdral for your major classes, you don’t need a report. Just submit the official transcript on time. Some words on the contract is quite vague, just think of a case that a student had a GPA of 3.7 as he/ she applied and got straight As in the Spring (4.0); it makes a change in GPA, yet that person does not have to report.
