I recently updated my UCAPP to change my course schedule around for the spring quarter and update my winter quarter grades. Do I also have to email each school individually or is updating on the UCAPP website sufficient enough?
Can someone chance me?

@topchoiceschool How ‘recently’ are we talking? I thought the last day to update anything was January 31st. Or maybe there’s a different program with a different deadline? If so I apologize, I’m just a bit confused.
@Edirol Yeah that was the deadline to update for fall semester/quarter grades. I’m on a quarter system, so I just finished my winter quarter and submitted another TAU several days ago to update my winter quarter grades.
@topchoiceschool Ahh, gotcha!
@topchoiceschool I’m also on the quarter system but the UC application site won’t let me submit another TAU. How did you do it?
@nopiollaga When you first login, there should be something that says update coursework or something like that.
@topchoiceschool Mine doesn’t have that option… I can only view my application because I already submitted the TAU before the deadline. How were you able to submit another one?
Are you seeing that on the uc application website (admissions.universityofcalifornia site) or the uctap site?
@Edirol Ohh… I thought @topchoiceschool was talking about the regular application website. I didn’t use TAP, so is there no way to update winter grades?
I’m talking about this site: https://admissions.universityofcalifornia.edu
You should be able to update it and I’m pretty sure you have to. Try calling the ucapp help center before they close.
@topchoiceschool Mine says at the top ‘update account information’ and then below ‘view application’ with TAU submitted on 1/10/2016 but nothing about updating it a second time. Unless it’s different if they know you’re on a quarter system, which may be the case.
Okay. I’m trying not to freak out right now…
Mine says the same too @Edirol. I’m pretty sure the UCs only care about your grades up till the fall quarter unless you take it upon yourself and contact each school to let them know your winter grades. But even if you do that, they prob still won’t really care much about it. The TAU stays open until the end of March I think, but I don’t know how @topchoiceschool was able to do it a couple of days ago. I contacted UCLA through myadmissions and told them about my winter grades and course changes but for other schools like UC Davis, it wouldn’t let me update my courses/grades.
I updated it March 31st. I guess if you miss that deadline, then you have to contact each school, which is kind of a hassle I guess. @nopiollaga They do care about your grades after the fall. For example if your still taking major coursework, they want to see you do well in those classes.
I think @nopiollaga meant winter grades aren’t the deciding factor in getting admitted - they definitely want you to do well but mostly want to see if your prereq coursework is either planned or in progress (of course if you did get a D or an F during the winter/spring they could definitely rescind your admission).
I thought if a student missed the Jan 31st deadline they would extend another week and that was it.
Hi can someone explain exactly what “25th % for admits” and the “75th% for admits” means? https://www.admission.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/Tr_Prof15_mjr.htm
@ammanduh 25th percentile = top 75%; 75th percentile = top 25%
Hi all! I am currently a freshman at USC in the Marshall School of Business. I applied to UCLA for financial reasons. My transfer situation is a little different from community college, however I was able to meet all of the requirements through AP testing and courses at my current university. I was curious whether or not the school considers the university previously attended in reviewing applications? Please let me know!
Here are my stats:
GPA: 3.57
Major: Economics/Business-Economics
All transfer/major requirements completed as of this spring.
Activities: Trojan Investment Society, Fashion Industry Association, Music (Drumming), Varsity Volleyball
- CMEA Outstanding Musician, Golden State Seal Merit Diploma, State Seal of Biliteracy, AP Scholar
- 2 internships, 2 jobs
Please let me know what you think my chances are. Thanks!
