I feel the same. Engineering+premed, incoming junior with 3.94 and a bunch of experience and leadership roles. Life ain’t fair- all that for nothing! :’(

sophomore admit, attended top 15 LAC for freshman year, currently on mid-college gap year doing full-time service in a school.
College GPA: 3.68 (ish???) High school GPA: 3.78 (ish??) unweighted, school didn’t do weighted.
SAT: 2120 740 CR 740 WRITING 650 MATH
ECs- lots of writing things, planning committee for large college event, psych research, challenging summer jobs.
essays: pretty good i think??? recs were def great, including one from my current supervisor.
Hook: americorps participant?

I was accepted to the school of engineering.
That makes at least two Tufts transfers!
It’s weird, because they flat out rejected me as a freshman applicant.

Rejected. I’m not surpised because Ivy’s leagues only accept people from minorities and super rich kids. Students who are white, male or female, and in a middle class to upper class family usually never get accepted. So not a surprise and it shouldn’t surprise any one on this discussion post. Trying to stay optimistic but it’s the truth.
@mateenjan1 Sounds like you’re honestly just bitter. Not to mention, schools can’t see how much your parents make when they read your application. My BF got in today as a transfer and he’s white and middle class.

@mateenjan1 im sorry that you weren’t accepted, but there’s a wide variety of people who get accepted, including people of the demographic that you listed.
