We have enjoyed getting to know you through this process.

Penn Admissions "
AH I’m so excited to meet yall I think they’re going to make the Facebook group soon
After getting rejected by Cornell, I really hope some miracles happen here
Finally, we will get to know. Fingers crossed!! :))
Decisions released May 3 at 3pm eastern.
@resonanx Same here. The thing about getting rejected from an Ivy (or any really selective school) that makes me so anxious is I don’t know if my application is pretty good but just not good enough for the school, of if it just flat out sucks. An acceptance is so much more telling than a rejection…
@matthewjohnlim hahaha well that’s true. To add, my SAT are really low even though I am a sophomore, so I don’t have much hope, but we never know.
Damn… I’m in the middle of my chem lab when checking this This is so scary!
@Sumner Im gonna be in the middle of Ethics exam ! wow how would I concentrate hahaha
I applied to Cornell and Upenn. How come I did not get the decision by Cornell yet…? I also got an email from Penn that they will release the result on May/3rd…
@4526jjdk If you look in the Cornell transfer thread, you’ll see that lots of other people haven’t received their decisions yet, either. Cornell is releasing their decisions in waves, and most people on the Cornell thread believe that later waves have a higher acceptance rate than earlier waves, so no news is probably good news as long as you are sure all your materials were submitted correctly.
@4526jjdk Yes, what @matthewjohnlim said is correct. I am a Fall 2016 Cornell applicant too and I haven’t received my decision yet. They do it in batches and release decisions every Tuesday. We all seem to agree that most acceptances seem to occur in Early-Mid May. So if you haven’t received a decision by now then it means that they are probably still debating their decision. The top applicants have received their acceptances by now and there have been a lot of rejections by now. So the “middle” or majority of applicants are waiting now for Cornell to choose.
I think it is a good sign we haven’t received our decisions from Cornell yet. According to previous threads and its stats we should expect this Tuesday’s batch of decisions to be rejections and a few acceptances in our thread and next week’s batch to be about 50/50 & then the week of 5/16 will probably be a lot of acceptances and the last week of 5/23 mostly rejections…at least that is what happened previous years.
Plus Cornell is backed up a week.
But we are on UPenn. I have that day off from work and hopefully that is good sign I can celebrate…or cry alone…lol
@blackwidow22 @matthewjohnlim Thank you for the comments. About Cornell, many people seem to check their pre-results here at transeval.cals.cornell.edu … I have been putting my info there, but I think this website seems little bit strange… Also i thought that this might be a way of hacking applicants’ account info… Have you gone this website?
@4526jjdk yes I have. But it only works if you are a CALS applicant. Are you?
I’ve tried it but it won’t work for me because I am a CAS applicant. The theory (which does seem to be proven right so far) is that if you see your your major where it says “Your Major” in green WITHOUT the message highlighted in yellow on the bottom that says “Our records do not show you as an accepted student in CALS” then you are accepted into CALS.
@blackwidow22 Interestingly, I am not a CALS applicant, but it works for me. I am also a CAS applicant, but the website enables me to log in. It said “Welcome… Your Major (with green light):_______” and also they have yellow highlighted line saying “Our records do not show you as an accepted student in CALS”… I mean, I did not apply for CALS hahaha…
Could you move the Cornell conversation to the Cornell thread?
