I applied to CSULB Fall 2017
My stats: 37 units completed, 15 in progress, and another 17 units for spring.
My Cumulative GPA is 2.7.
Major: Management Information Systems
No AD-T/ AS-T
Im from Sacramento and my cc is in a college district. So I’ve taken classes at 3-out-of-4 campuses, but at my resident campus I have a 3.2. Im also retaking a class in the Spring that I got a D in so that should bump my GPA up a little.
I mainly have some major specific courses left to take in addition to a physical science class. Other than that, all of my other Golden Four classes have been taken care of with A’s B’s and a C.
I’m really nervous you guys!!! I have only A’s and B’s this semester so that should help a bit right???
I applied too! I really hope I get in. I heard they won’t even tell us until March or April. The suspense is killing me. This is the first time I’ve applied to a university.
But I don’t know much about that specific major. As you can tell from my name I’m a Bio major lol
I Currently have an average 3.1 GPA. Trying to bring it up "/ But I do have my A.A. But it’s not the AD-T.
Let’s post about admissions. Have any CSU’s admitted anyone? CSU Fullerton already accepted me and many from my high school but thats maybe because we’re local. What about Long Beach? they haven’t even sent me a portal and i applied on 11/26
ACADEMIC GPA : 3.66 UW 3.89 W
SAT:1190/1600 ACT: 22
Major: Business Administration
Fullerton is actually my backup and hopefully I get accepted to more lol, but from my school I’m on the higher end of admits for Fullerton.
And I’ve seen many from my school get admitted with LOW SAT and ACT Scores of SAT 900 And ACT 17, GPA’s of 3.5 and above.
Remember we are local so I’m unsure if it has any impact because Fullerton is an Impacted Campus. @Superman147
Hey! Try not to stress cause I got in with a 3.15 gpa! In my opinion, that’s a really low gpa but I still got into Harpur College at BU and that may have been because i had more than 24 credits when applying, so i didn’t have to show any high school grades or SAT or ACT scores. Binghamton really loves transfer students it seems because i know plently of high school seniors with better scores than me ultimately get rejected form the college. I think if you’re applying to the other schools, your gpa should at least be above 3.2 which is seems yours is. Keep in mind, C + grades in class transfer. Now, unfortantely for me, i couldn’t attend the school this year so i’ve reapplied. But my first time applying, I heard back by Febuary 9th. So that date that you won’t hear back till march or april isn’t always necessarily true. That just depends when you submit your application so that you get their admissions decisions with the batches they send them out in. For example, when i first applied, I submitted my application and transcrips in early january, i heard back in feburary with the other batches of people who submitted their application the same time as mine. Just don’t stress too much cause Binghamton loves transfer students over high school students so you already have an advantage of gettitng into the school. I’m applying for fall 2017 as well and it seems we both applied at the same time this year so let me know if you got in! Good luck!
My is a freshman at CSULB in Business Accounting. He had a 3.7 CSU GPA (but was also enrolled concurrently at a community college with a 3.8 GPA) a 30 ACT and 1850 SAT. He didn’t get admitted until March 31, but the admissions started rolling out in February. He is a San Diego resident. Good luck to you all; he absolutely loves it there!
So my case is a little interesting. Went to a CSU straight out of high school. Did terribly. Cumulative GPA from that school is a 2.3. I transferred over to a CC and after one semester I earned a 3.0. My major is AA-T in Studio Art and I applied to CSULB. What do you think my chances are with getting accepted to F17?
Golden 4 is completed. ABBC
GE is completely done.
Just doing AD-T classes now for the associates that I’ll be rewarded with in the Spring.
Also applied to Fullerton. Would appreciate your honest opinions and guidance <3
So if you guys haven’t completed it already, the CSULB Supplemental App opened today! After looking at my GPA from before, it looks like I’ve moved it up to a 3.07. I don’t know what that does for my chances because I have heard of people that had trouble getting in even with that. However, I have heard of people getting in with even lower GPAs so I have no clue right now.
Son submitted SIR for new freshman admission in pre-Computer Science at CSULB.
CSU GPA: 3.56
SAT: 1370/1600 (710 CR, 660 M)
ACT: 30
Local
Will apply to CSULB Honors program. Also applied to CCC Honors program for future transfer to UCI or UCSB. Waitlisted now at UCR for CS major. Two decent options, plus a waitlist position. Trying to determine which is best.
