Quick summary: no. of applications is up 6.9% over this time next year (I am assuming that all EA applications with 1st November are counted in numbers for last year and this year). International applications are up 23.8%. Business school applications are up 11.7% and Engineering applications are up 6%.
Obviously meant to say ``over this time last year’’ and not next year!
I would love to see how this data over time. Do you have a sense of the increase in number of apps of ~7% is a relatively consistent value form past years?
The first time I did this comparison last year was on 27th November, so it included some number of regular cycle applications as well. Numbers were up 16% for Fall 2016 applicants over Fall 2015. So, the rate of increase has slowed down, but numbers are still increasing.
Im 100% okay with the rate slowing down haha.
I applied to OSU on September 1st for Business. . . from what I read from the chart, is it true that they are only accepting 8 students out of the 54 applicants? Is that normal? That seems like a really low, competitive number. . .
I do not know where you saw 8 out of 54, but no college at OSU is that competitive.
That could “maybe” be direct Fisher admits?
