Accepted
Biz Econ

My appeal is just gonna be:

"Dear Admissions Director,

After careful review of your decision for my admission, I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your declination for the Fall Quarter 2017. I look forward to attending classes at this university in the fall.

GG,

-D"

Does anyone else’s portal say they haven’t made a decision yet?

Anyone know why mine says that

Accepted!!!
Major: TFT (Film)
Transfer from: CCC (SMC)
GPA: 3.94
Transferrable GPA: 4.0
IGETC: Done in Spring 2017
Accepted: UCSB, Columbia, Chapman
Rejected: UCSD
Waiting: USC, Penn, UCI, Berkeley, NYU

@doihaveashot2016 seriously?? 15%??OMG I remember it was 25% last year…does it mean Berkeley gonna have even lower acceptance rate this year?Berkeley always has the lowest acceptance rate among all the UCs…I already got rejected by UCLA and only hope for Berkeley right now…do I have any chance? :((

Fuck. I got into Cognitive Science at UCLA without like 4 or 5 prereqs completed. I’m in shock right now.

@mjstewart1224 – I was rejected in 2015 because I was missing my math prereq. I applied again the following year, maintained my 4.0, and got in. Just letting you know in case you plan on applying next year!

same lmao

do we have to submit our documents before we enroll?

Congrats everyone!!! If anyone has any questions about the transition, classes, etc., feel free to ask me! Especially if you’re a pre-history!

At work i’m sooo sad.

Rejected

Major: Communication
GPA: 3.85
Prereqs: all done, major gpa is 4.0
California resident
TAP: no
Extracurriculars: -Currently running a blog on various things related to music/events
-Social media manager for an event
-Writer/editor/designer for school paper
-Worked part time for the past 2 years
-In my essays I mentioned how I have been learning multiple languages and am currently getting ready to go abroad to study/intern for a couple months

I knew I was gonna get a rejection letter from UCLA cause I go to CSU and am Asian. Plus my GPA was only 3.1

Rejected with 3.85 GPA for Economics! I’m coming from a non UC 4 year university so that’s probably the only reason why lol. It’s okay I got into University of Michigan already and probably going to get into USC. Either way I’m still ending up at a school that is just as good as UCLA so I’m not too upset!

How difficult is it to double major in a major in the same college? I’m contemplating either a double in history or math since I’m done with all the lower division pre-reqs for both majors at my community college.

@cool786 I literally took all the classes. Taking Discrete Structures and Fluid Mechanics and Wave right now.

@AkumaShokan What major prep did you have left? Congrats btw

ACCEPTED!!!
CCC: Pasadena City College
Major: Business Economic
GPA: 3.92
Units: 68 Units Completed, 80+ units completed by end of Spring
IGETC: DONE before Spring
Prereqs: (acct, econ, calculus, eng) DONE before Spring
ECs: barely any(AGS clubs, Teacher’s aide for accounting professor, and accounting tutor at my school)
Essay: 4/10 (My essay is really really really really bad, not joking. I wrote my essay on the day I made my UC application. I did the bare minimum and didn’t proofread it for grammatical errors. This makes me question about the UC’s “holistic” admission process. Let’s think for a second, do they actually spend more than 5 or 10 minutes reading your essay? probably not because they have over 100,000 applications, freshman transfers, every year to go through)

Applied: UCLA,UCI,UCSB,UCB,USC
Acceptance: UCLA, UCI, UCSB
Waiting: USC, UCB

Comments for prospective transfers: If you want to transfer out and into your desired UC, I highly highly recommend that you finish all your prereqs in the Fall term when applying. Having a couple prereqs in Spring might not be in your favor because the admissions won’t know the grades of your prereqs taken in Spring.

Good Luck to future transfer students!

For those who get admitted, do you guys get email notification? I have not checked mine yet since I am worried it will affect my work right now…
Anyway, congratulations all who get admitted! You guys are awesome

Nope, it’s on the website.

Just got in as statistics! I’m going to switch to math if I end up committing to UCLA though.
