Does anyone have any idea on when the orientation will be at? Around august or july? How do we find out?
@Tik1127 I really just submitted it on a whim. I wrote my appeal letter in like 30 minutes because I didn’t see a reason not to. If I’m still not accepted, then that’s fine and I am more than happy to attend Cal. I’m probably going to regardless of what UCLA does with my application.
Ok quick question I’m currently taking two classes and honors art class and a prereq for my major poli sci. I kinda slacked off for my poli sci class and I’ll only have the chance to get a B in the course. I was wondering if that’s ok like I’m going to get an A and a B. I’m just worried cause it’s a prereq idk I’m super stressed now haha I always do this
@dreamla as long as you complete your coursework under the requirements listed in your conditions of admission. you should be fine. an A and a B, if both classes are the same number of units, will be a 3.5. Most students only need to maintain a 3.0 and not drop below a C in any course/
@Tik1127 Do you think it would be okay to drop a class that was not needed for your major or igetc? I got in as pre psych and I finished Stats two years ago. I am taking pre calc right now, for UCSD and premed, but I feel really behind in my classes due to family issues. I am currently getting a C in math, Bs in physics and Bio. I am considering dropping math because I dont want a C, and that will give me more time to focus on physics and bio (I am very close to an A in this class). Would the affect my admission? I dont see why it would, since I’ve already completed the math requirement for the major, but Im very worried. I emailed UCLA admissions and they didnt give a definitive answer… they basically said they dont recommend modifying your schedule, but if you do they will look at it and it could affect admission.
First off, your GPA does not follow you to a UC, so worrying about a C in terms of GPA is pointless - unless your provisional says you cannot get a C. Relook at your provisional rules. UCLA already recommended not dropping (you say their answer is not definitive, but it seems pretty definitive to me) so I am not sure why you would want to go against their recommendation.
If UCLA recommended you not to drop the course then don’t do it, it came from the horse’s mouth. If you do, it could very well result in your admission being rescinded. You need to tread carefully, you’re almost at the finish line, do not make drastic changes.
Best of luck.
Okay, if you submitted then you just have to wait and see what they say.
@williamyang
I think residence halls sound like more fun to me, but I have not sent my housing app yet.
Hello! I am debating whether or not to transfer to ucla from uci. I got admitted but wanted to get an idea of what the student life is like at ucla, academics. Obviously UCLA is more prestigious but I also heard the students are really competitive and it can sometimes be difficult to find friends and establish yourself as a transfer. I already have good connections where I am, can I still build more connections in just two years. Also is it possible to change majors as a transfer let’s say I want to go from neuroscience to biochemistry? Thanks in advance!

Anyone knows when the orientation date is!!! (or based on the last year one)
Hi, did anyone here get accepted for Business Economics or Economics from Out of State? Also, Did anyone apply as an OOS community college applicant?
Is anyone trying to attend ucla during the summer? I want to but I’m wondering if it’s too late. Idk i just want to get the ucla experience already haha
@bettertransfer. I am but I’m from NorCal so it’s kind of hard for me to go during summer.
Guys, I dont know how weird my question is, but every time I change my clothes, I have to go to the floor bathroom? Is there any where in the bedroom that is like a walkin closet, so I can change my clothes? I know some people dont feel comfortable with people changing in front of them, so I want to avoid that.
So in the GPA agreement to UCLA it states notify them immediately if you get a C in major prep courses. I am a poli sci major currently enrolled in stats (which I think is considered a major prep course) do you guys think if I get a C in stats they will withdraw my admission???

Remove the spaces and go to the tabs lower in the page. The second tab should say," Dates"
Once you signed that agreement, then you’re locked in. There could be a very high probablity that you could be rescinided if you get a C in a major-prep course. As I previously stated in a different post, it is a way for UCLA to know that you’re coming in strong and not being lackadaisical once you get admitted. Finish strong and make sure that you do not get a C.
I am assuming you’re a Barcelona fan… I recall a couple years back when Barcelona made the final of the CL, and it was the match v Bayern in the semis. I was in one of my classes where we had between 250-300 students and the class was in a theatre where the seats went up. I was sitting midway and I could see what other students were doing on their computer and probably 40-50 were watching the Barcelona Bayern match during class on their laptops, as was I. If you are indeed a football fan, Ackerman Union is a great place to catch the matches. it gets packed, but there are plenty of televisions where everybody is shouting and hollering during games. I caught a lot of good games there at my time at UCLA. Good times…
@UCSBorUCLA Does yours articulate on assist? If you’re referring to the IGETC stats, I don’t think it’s a major course req. Check your CCC on assist to verify.
