Fall 2018 Applied/Accepted Thread!

Major: Computer Science
Eligibility Index: 3996
Really hope I get in. Portal still says “Application Received” with no To-Do items at the moment.

did anyone get in for chemical engineering?
So they only choose top applicants early?
Am I not a top applicant, as I got an invite for the honors college?

I did see a chemical engineering admit in this thread. It’s very early to assume you’ve been waitlisted or rejected. Wait until early March before starting to worry

@SREE33 The chemical engineering student had an EI of 4820.

I still have not received my portal information and I am freaking out! I am going to call admissions office tomorrow. Also I live in Pomona (about 5 minutes from CPP) and my major is not impacted so fingers crossed for that acceptance!

I was checking my CalState apply account and as of yesterday, 2/4/18, it said that they received a test score titled “SBSA” on 2/5/18. Anyone know which test this could be? I don’t remember sending anything like this.

It’s a state test that assesses your readiness for college level work. You authorize school to release results to colleges on calstateapply app

My D was accepted over the weekend…provisional admit.

I’ve applied for the major of Biochemistry and have still not heard anything. My application status says “Application received.” Has anyone been accepted for a Science related major?

@Perezstefany: Decisions will be going through March so do not worry.

Like someone else mentioned, that is the test you took last year as a junior in HS. Most students checked marked the release to the CSUs. Maybe you did not? So, you’ll need to retake. It is an assessment for placement in math and ELL.

Hey everyone~
when posting acceptances, declines or WL… It helps to also post the major, stats and local status.

I forgot to post stats
S accepted 2/2 for Comp Sci
EI 4814 CSU/UC GPA 4.33
SoCal but not local service area

Does anyone know when the next wave of acceptances will be? :frowning: my status still says “application received”

It may be all the way into April. Looking at last year’s they were still going. I’m with you. At least we have this post so we don’t drive the people around us crazy. If you are a planner then its nerving.

@Perezstefany stats?

@Gumbymom Alright, thank you :slight_smile:

@xxsdccx
Major: Biochemistry
SAT: 1130
GPA (UC/CSU): 4.0

Me and my friends all got accepted into CPP with provisional acceptance. Our stats are similar with 4.0+ GPAs and 1200-1300 SATs. (I chose bio major i think)

Does anyone know when declines go out? Or do those usually come out later after the acceptances?
