@NateDawwg I wouldnt know what to say in the appeal. They did not give me a reason as to why I was denied. So i don’t know whether my GPA (3.86) wasn’t good enough or because I was missing 3 classes in the major prep or because I was not a local.
For the amount of time we spent preparing for the applications and gathering all the require info, I feel like the least they can do is give a quick reason for the rejection.
I’m a little bum but that’s ok. On to the next.
I am local, Grossmont College, and got redirected… extremely bummed and depressed because it was my first choice school. Got accepted into CSUDH though

Just for the record, everyone from my CC that I know got in. My friend has a 2.9 and received his admission weeks before me. They are definitely giving priority to locals, and there are just too many of them applying.

Can a waitlist decision be appealed?
Any admitted transfers figuring out housing yet? I’m on the Facebook page but I’m not sure if living on or off campus as a transfer is a good idea…and the deadline to submit a housing deposit is due May 4. Anyone have any advice?
@GarnetEnvoy I don’t know, I appealed my waitlist decision to Cal Poly. I don’t think it can hurt. The worst they can do is tell you you’ll just stay on the waitlist.
@shnijone I was already waitlisted for on-campus housing. I submitted my application on April 3. I’m not from SD so I’m not sure where this might put me if I don’t get on-campus housing.
Hey guys just wanted to update all of you…I appealed my denial at sdsu, I am a local tag student and they still told me no…they said that this year they had so many tag and adt applicatants they had to cut some and redirect them. I was redirected to sac state on appeal, however I am going to sit out a year and re apply next year…also I litterlly put in my appeal 2 days after my denial and I just heard back today so it’s obvious they really don’t have any spots at all but they did set me up with an alternate option…anyways good luck to all of you guys still waiting to hear or those trying to appeal
