@jaceymoo oh wow! you have a high GPA! so lucky… mine is around 3.2-3.3, psychology but for UCI I applied as a psych&social behavior.
I had some family circumstances that I had to retake a few classes during the semester and it lowered my GPA but I’m hoping my overall application rounds up together (:

@Christinesoh I’m hoping it’s enough, along with my ECs and personal insight questions. When I first started CC, I had like a 2.2 or something but I started getting consistent A’s later on. I’m kinda scared about that and because I’m Asian so they might judge me harder LOL

Okay I got an issue with TAG.
I originally intended to apply as an Aerospace Major, but for whatever reason, it was submitted as Mechanical Engineering. I submitted my request to change the major to Aerospace about a month ago, which was subsequently denied. The problem is, on top of completing all of the requirements for Aerospace, Mechanical has one additional course as a requirement, which I am not taking.
This jeopardizes my TAG status. The admission has suggested that changing major within the department is pretty easy, so I am not concerned about that, but I am VERY concerned whether I will be admitted or not.
Admission has suggested I should submit a message via portal about this issue, but do you guys think I have a strong case on this should I be denied and need to appeal about the decision?
BTW, my GPA is 3.7, and will complete all of the requirement for Aerospace by the end of Spring, and one course short of Mechanical Engineering.

@kugyo01 I was part of the march 20 admissions and I heard back at around 3PM so hopefully you guys will hear back at around that time too
@alliot wow we are on the EXACT same boat. I posted a couple pages ago that I TAG’d Computer Science but accidentally applied to Computer Science and Engineering where I am missing one class (second Physics).
I spoke to my admission counselor and she told me if my TAG major and my normal decision major do not match that my TAG will be voided ):. So it looks like we have to hope that we get in through regular decision. I also intend on appealing if I am rejected.

Yup, my intended major on TAG side is correct being Aerospace. I really have no idea why UC application was submitted as a mechanical engineering (maybe a glitch?)
