@laurelmm Congrats!!! :slight_smile: when did you get the result?

@swgh3nna lmaooo same

Mine is still pending too. It must be in random batches but we still have time so don’t worry everyone! (:

Damn seems like a pretty big batch of acceptances today/yesterday. I’m still pending, however, I am missing one pre req because I applied to the wrong major on accident so I don’t expect much. GL to everyone though.

@Twenmi UCI isn’t so sensitive about missing some prereqs so you should be fine as long as you finished a majority of your requirements!
If it’s okay to ask, what is your major and GPA?

For all the future people who post if they were admitted/waitlisted/rejected, it would be tremendously helpful if you put exactly what day (even what time) you received your admission status! This will help the people who are making a record and those who are just curious :slight_smile:

@Christinesoh Computer Science and Eng. 3.89.

I thought I applied to CS but apparently i only TAG’d CS but applied CSE smh

still pending too. :frowning:

To all people still worried about being pending, please refer to comment: #936.

Thank you :smiley:

@Twenmi You have a really great chance of getting accepted! I don’t think CS and E is such a bad choice (: and good thing about UCI is that they give you the chance to change your major if you talk to them (:
You should try explaining your situation and see if you can change your major if you get admitted! Don’t be nervous! I know you will get in :smiley:

.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/transfers-major for those of you who are still waiting, I’m not sure if you’ve seen this but it’s really helpful and will definitely make you think realistically. It’s the gpa stats for uc transfers last year

HELLO ALL

I found out that I just got accepted to UCI. This was a complete shock because of the fact that I am a business major and I’m currently taking calculus 1 but they require transfer students to take calculus 2! I thought for sure that I’d get rejected because of this. I had all the other requirements completed though!

@lovetoast05 Congrats!!! :slight_smile: Omg you give me hope!! I’m a business admin major, and I’m also currently taking Cal 1, and I’m signed up to take Cal 2 in the summer. I have everything else completed as well. Would you mind sharing your stats, so I can judge if I have a good chance as well?

@lrecupero Sure!

Major: Business Administration

I think my essays (responses) on the app were really strong. I hope that was enough lol… if you have specific questions feel free to ask. I really hope you get in!!!

Guys, my cc counselor told me that most UCs don’t even look at our personal essays (except Berkeley and LA). They have the option to read it, but it’s not mandatory so most of the time they just don’t. My cc counselor was also an admissions officer for ucla for 10 years before coming to my cc

@lovetoast05 Wow that’s awesome!! :slight_smile: Maybe my essays weren’t that good :frowning: I felt they were good at the time, but it’s so hard to judge my own writing lol. Now I’m starting to doubt; I know it’s not too late, but I really feel discouraged. Ugh. I hope they were good enough though! I appreciate the support and the kind words! :slight_smile: I hope I can join you and be accepted also!

These are my stats:

Major: Business Admin
Current College: Coastline Community College
IGETC: Completed Spring 2017
Degree: Associates for transfer in Business Admin, completed Spring 2017.
Tag: No
Major Prep: Will be completed by Summer 2018
Currently taking: Cal 1, Nutrition, Personal Health, Intro to Distance Learning
GPA: Overall: 3.97 (1 B)
European descent (3rd generation Italian)

@lrecupero you have great stats so don’t get discouraged. I’m on the same boat as you because I’m still waiting on some other decisions and it makes me nervous, but no matter what happens things will work out! Still, try to keep your thoughts positive. Rooting for ya!

@lovetoast05 Thank you so much! I hope you get accepted into the other schools you are waiting for as well :slight_smile: Good luck and congrats again!
