Essay: I think I did great job at explaining the reasons to transfer and all.
Recommendation Letter: Hot Glowing recommendation letter by my psychology teacher.
I am so anxious. WashU is my dream school. I hope it accepts me.

Major: business (finance)
GPA:3.8
college: CC in Washington state
tests scores: never took any
honors: PTK, faculty honors every quarter (except the last one), presidents honors last quarter
achievements: started and grew a profitable service company at the age of 21. It did about 10k a month in sales with good margins., I’ve been to 9 countries including Asia. HS golf captain, I’ve played electric and acoustic guitar for 8 years.
Essay: I think it was good. I highlighted my recent experiences and my early struggles with academics.
recommendation: it is very long and over all very complimentary, but one part where she mentions I’m not the greatest writer. She didn’t say I was bad, but mentioned not being the strongest at it. Also, I have a very solid reccomendation from a past repeat customer.
I’m a unique student. I’m 24, took time off school (I was an average student in HS). Started a company and traveled the world.

@cercit20 What are your stats?

Major: political science
GPA: 3.4 1st sem and 3.97 midterm report
HS GPA: 3.7 uw (senioritis killed me)
college: top 20 liberal arts
tests scores: 1550 SAT, 35 ACT
honors: don’t really have any
achievements: student council in both HS and my current institution, many extracurriculars, political column for local newspapers and own blog, photography
Essay: Should be pretty good
recommendation: Shouldn’t be bad

I think my GPA would kill me but coming from a comparable if not better school with a strong midterm report and test scores I hope that can balance my horrible first term GPA out.

Major: Chinese/East Asian Languages
GPA: 4.0 (60 credits; graduating this May)
HS GPA: Bad. Like 2.5-ish.
Test scores: Waived because I’m so old
Honors: Phi Theta Kappa, honors curriculum, a couple of national awards
Essay: Decent
Current school: Terrible community college nearby
Recommendation: Good
