UCF received my child’s college & high school official transcripts and SAT score (application was completed on 8/30/19). How long does it take to hear back decision from UCF? UCF is my child’s 1st choice. Any chance for Fall 2020??? Anybody got acceptance yet??

Sounds like a very promising application! The earlier you apply at UCF, the better. Applicants that wait until close to the deadline sometimes wait months unless they are in state and top 10% with automatic admission under the Top Ten Knights program. It depends on the influx of applications by I am guessing you will hear back mid Fall.
Also, merit scholarship is first come, first serve so early is best. Based on the stats posted, it’s favorable for merit scholarship. I would recommend applying for Burnett Honors, too.
LongWoodMom thanks for the info!!! We are OOS, not sure my child will qualify for merit scholarship???
My OOS D18 heard back September 22 (after the University was closed for 2 weeks for the hurricanes)- higher GPA lower SAT. The University was closed last week, so they are probably running behind, but I remember people reporting around 9/12 of 2017 that they had gotten in. So hopefully in the next 2 weeks??? Realize that rolling admissions isn’t as quick as we would think. Good job getting the application in and good luck!
My child “GOT IN” So Happy!!!
My child got in also!!! So excited for him!!!
Congratulations @carolinamomof3 and @Chickenpet !!! I applied mid August and UCF has finally received all of my supplemental items. 1350 SAT, 28 ACT (shame because my superscore is a 30), 4.2 weighted/3.6uw with 10+ years dedication to choir and currently in EMT class and certified PCT. Top choice, but nervous as if it is about 2 weeks then I will hear back near birthday so hopefully good news!!! (also sorry for such a terrible username I made a year ago)
Also, should I apply to the honors college? Do you apply to that after getting accepted into general admissions?
My daughter was accepted yesterday!!
Originally sent everything in 9/5
All final items needed was recieved by UCF 9/13
My son was accepted today! We’re really excited for him and didn’t expect an admissions decision so soon. He applied early Sept and his materials were all received about a week ago. Good luck to everyone!
Just curious, how long after UCF received everything did you hear. We are about 3 weeks out and haven’t heard anything. Also, those who got accepted are you in state or out of state? We are out of state. Thanks!
@MWalker3808 , it took about 3-3.5 weeks to hear back but some of that time was UCF waiting for transcripts from my son’s HS. Once his portal showed that the materials were received, I believe it was about a week until he was accepted. We are OOS. Good luck!
I submitted via the common app on 9/18 which takes about a week to populate in their system. I finally got my NID on 9/24. Portal said they had my test score and transcript too. I didn’t check the portal until 10/2 and I had been accepted. OOS as well.
My gpa and scores right at their average. I demonstrated a very strong interest in Rosen so that might have helped with the quick decision.
Good luck!
Thanks for the response. He called today and they still have not decided. Told it could be a month or more before they send anything because they are rolling admissions. I am guessing he may not get in. He visited twice and talked with admissions when there but so far nothing. Was accepted to his second choice University of Alabama but still holding out for UCF. Studying Business Finance/Marketing
My son applied on September 11th. Around October 16th on the online application status page, It says transcript has been received and the SAT scores are in. I’m not sure when the decision will be but I’m hearing you guys got in pretty quickly and for him, he does not know yet. Does anyone know if they will send an update soon or when you think he will hear by?
appreciate it.
My daughter is in state and applied the week before Halloween and they listed that they had her high school transcript for a few days and it showed her test scores etc. Then it updated and mentioned getting updated AP/Dual Enrollment transcripts and mentioned that her application was with the committee for review… 2 days later she had the accept/decline buttons and was accepted for Fall 2020! Still no letter in the mail though. So she applied and heard back within 2 weeks time. I know that is NOT average though… I can’t really explain why hers went faster but she submitted everything the day she applied and did do a 2nd tour of Rosen the day she applied as well.
Just keep checking the myucf site!
@Rosen1001 , I believe they would not look at anything until your app was complete (10/16) which is in the thick of their app season so that could explain their delay. Good luck!
@yeo914 , the letter did not arrive for weeks for us. I was starting to worry since the website said it’s unofficial, but it eventually arrived. We are OOS. Congratulations!
Thank you! when do you think he will hear something? before thanksgiving?
Also does this look right if everything was sent in? "
If required documents (transcripts, test scores, etc.) have been submitted, your application is currently being reviewed by our admission committee for the Fall 2020 term.
**NOTE: AP, IB, AICE, and CLEP scores are required prior to enrollment but will not delay your admission decision.
If you are currently dual enrolled at a community college, college or university and have completed some course work, you should submit an official transcript showing that work. However, an admission decision can be made without in-progress dual enrollment coursework.
Please note that if you have submitted an application after the published deadline, your application may be processed for the next available term. We cannot guarantee an admission decision for applicants who complete their file after the published deadline.
Please check back here for updates to your admission status."
@Rosen1001 I would say that looks like everything was sent in- if you don’t have a box indicating that they are waiting for a transcript or scores of any kind and you sent all of your necessary documents in, then I would say it seems like they have everything,. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to call admissions to double check.
