Fall 2021 Transfer Admissions for SDSU

Business Admin: General. GPA: 3.53 with adt boost. I was waitlisted, but chances are I won’t be accepted when sdsu reaches out again in june.

Rejected for Computer Science :frowning: CSU GPA: 3.39

My Fall 2021 run so far.

Accepted:
Computer Engineering: CSULB, SJSU, CPP
Software Engineering: Cal Poly SLO
Computer Science: CSUF, UCSC

Rejected:
Computer Science: SDSU

Pending:
Computer Science: UCR, UCD, Berkeley,
Computer Science & Engineering: UCI, UCLA
Computer Engineering: UCSD, UCSB

None of the UC’s are sending out notifications till next month.

Ok. My son as a non local ( We live in Santa Clarita) GPA I THINK is 3.6, Economics major was just denied.
Fortunately he’s not bummed as he did get into Long Beach and CSUN ( Eh tho he doesn’t really want to go to CSUN since it is only 20 minutes away from home, and he doesn’t want to go where both my husband and I graduated from LOL. )
He now waits to hear from UCLA, UC Berkeley , UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego and UC Irvine all decisions that will be coming out at different times next month.

? UCR and UCSC have been rolling out admissions. All of the other schools are 3 weeks from now.

Criminal Justice
3.56
All pre reqs completed this spring along w golden four
In state non-local
Going to appeal because they let in out of state kids with 3.1’s ? Kind of thought the point of a cal state was to serve the students of CA

Any thoughts on the appeal process if it’s worth it or not ?

Totally agree. It seems impossible to get in as in in state student if you’re not local even with almost a 4.0

is there anyway to find out what waitlist priority you’re in? I got waitlisted for SDSU first day but there are others still getting waitlisted

I was sadly just waitlisted and I’m honestly not sure why. The art department is fairly small so I’m thinking they didn’t have too much space available, and the one major prep course I was missing bumped me down :(( Did anyone with similar stats get waitlisted? Does anyone speculate that missing one course is enough to put me on the waitlist?

Status: Waitlisted
Major: Studio Arts
GPA: 4.0
ADT: no
Pre-reqs: all complete but one
Golden Four: Completed
Not local but in-state

It seems that transfer applicants with ADT were given priority. I don’t think I’ve seen a single applicant admitted without one. If it’s a requirement they really should make it one officially.

Also- it seems that out of state students with given preference over in state students that weren’t local.

I completely agree, I’m definitely appealing. I worked so hard and took certain classes just so that they could align with SDSU’s transfer pathway.

I don’t think that is entirely true. I was accepted in the first wave on March 1st as a local without an ADT…
