Can you apply to Berkeley for spring semesters as well?

nope. cal only takes in for fall

You apply only for Fall Semester of the year following (ie, apply between November 1 and 30, 2006 for Fall 2007) BUT Berkeley itself has the option of offering you either fall admission (which is what most students are offered) OR spring admission.

^basically.

Yep. Speaking of which, anyone happen to have the profile of the typical Haas admit? I had a friend get into Haas (or is it Undeclared - Business?"), but was deferred to the spring. Always wondered what it took to get in during the fall.

I don't think it's possible to tell from stats why someone was admitted to fall and why spring. Maybe it is?

For the record, I was admitted for the spring. I considered myself a somewhat borderline candidate, so maybe there is some merit to that. Berkeley would never own to it, though. The admission letter itself says that standard "we only had so much room for great students like you in the fall" stuff every kid who's ever received a rejection letter knows so well.

so let me get this straight...Cal chooses?
