Fall course advice (transfer and Kelley standard admit)

<p>Hello guys,</p>

<p>I'm a fall transfer/international student to Bloomington and I was wondering if you guys can give me some advice on my fall courses. I'm a hardworking student who is good with computers and accounting. I hate math but I'm willing to study hard for it. All my GEs have transferred and thus I only need to take courses for admittance to Kelley.</p>

<p>I'm taking:</p>

<p>Bus-c 104
Math–m 118
Bus-k 201
Bus-c 155
Bus-t 134 (kllc 2nd week)
Bus -a 100 (1st week)</p>

<p>14 credits in total</p>

<p>I need to keep a minimum of 12 credits and all Bs in my courses to get into Kelley. Are these courses too hard for my first semester? I'm planing to prepare in the summer as well.</p>

<p>Are you certain that you do not need to take any general education classes? The only classes that count for the “World Cultures” requirement are from this list:</p>

<p>I would save the math class for second semester. It would make it easier to concentrate on your other Kelley classes. You can choose between finite and M119 Calculus. If you test into M211 Calculus (a class that will substitute for M119 for Kelley admission purposes), don’t take the class, despite what your adviser recommends. Only about 1/3 of the students pass this class with a solid B or higher, despite the recommendation from advisers that they take the class.

<p>If you have credit for E201 microeconomics already, you will need to take only calculus or finite (I recommend M119 calculus) and G202 as your final admissions classes and get a solid B or higher in every class (same as Fall semester) to be guaranteed admission to Kelley. This is according to the standard admission rules from last year. The list of qualifying classes for standard admission could change, however, and would be reflected in the new Kelley bulletin, which probably won’t come out until September. When the new bulletin comes out, you will have plenty of time to plan your Spring semester classes. Check here for the new bulletin:
