Fall grades and UC transfer gpa

I was left feeling discouraged after I received a bad grade in a 5 unit class that dropped my 3.6 uc transfer gpa to a 3.4 uc gpa. I was hoping to transfer as a junior to either UCSD or UCSB but now I feel like a have no chance since I’m an econ major. A 3.6 was already low for an economics major so a 3.4 is worse. I want to know if the fall grades you submit in January factor into your uc gpa. If they do and if I do well in the fall semester then I could atleast raise my gpa to a 3.5. Are fall grades included into the uc gpa or do schools just ask for them to see how you did?

A 3.4 should be enough to TAG into UCSB as long as you meet the other requirements.

You’re still able to TAG UCSB with a 3.4 if that’s what you want to do. Make sure to read the TAG contract though.

Barring the Spring transfer, (Merced), admissions will look at your GPA including the FALL grades. So you have 1 semester to boost that transfer GPA. Good Luck!
