<p>I was thinking about applying to UC Berkley as a transfer and had a question about my fall grades and the Nov. 1 deadline.</p>
<p>My school doesn't report my Fall semester grades on my transcript till late December.</p>
<p>Since the deadline for Berkley is Nov.1, would I be unable to send my fall semester grades for my sophomore year?</p>

<p>By transfer do you mean your UC application? If so, you’re just going to fill out the classes that you’re taking this semester. It isn’t going to want your grades. You’ll list them as “in progress” and then update them with the grades you received in the winter update.</p>
<p>What is this Nov 1 deadline? If you are talking about submitting the UC app, that deadline is Nov 30.</p>

<p>Unlike most private universities and CSUs, UCs request your official transcripts only after you’ve been accepted by the UC. For reporting Fall 2011 grades, some time in the winter (mid-late December or early January) you will be given via e-mail a link by the UC and be asked to log in to the UC application to do a “grade update”, where you’ll input all your fall semester grades. The deadline for doing this during last year’s application cycle was January 27th, so you’ll have plenty of time and needn’t be in worry of missing any deadline. </p>
<p>Then, assuming you’re accepted to Berkeley in April 2011, you’d send them all your transcripts after you submit your SIR in June 2011.</p>
